    Good experience for the youngsters, Boli is no where near good enough. It's pre-season afterall so this is when the fringe players need to show what they can do.

    Soro been the one I liked most there. Couple of off moments but has talent, is mobile and gets stuck in. We've got a good player on our hands..

    Klimala grafts like * and does some really nice thing's but * other simple thing's. Still a work in progress..

    Robertson still nice on the ball. Dembele showed some nice touches. Ntcham been ok as well..

    I still think we should be in the market for one other, possibly someone a wee bit more dynamic than Taylor but at this point it's a no contest between the 2.

    Boli looks like a competition winner at times.

    Considering this 11 have barely been used in competition we showed up alright against Lyons first team. Two stupid mistakes but we had decent possession and passing. Few positives from the first half and exposing those who aren't up to the task. Bains kicking was also sub standard.

    Aye he's looking brutal. Probably get loaned back to Rapid Vienna..

    Deffo need a quick all rounder at left back still but Taylor is ahead of him 100%..

    Pass marks: Klimala, Dembele, Henderson, Robertson, Elhamed
    Undecided: Ntcham, Soro, Bitton, Welsh, Bain
    Worry: Boli.


    Clear as day need a CB and a LB. Bitton is decent for a versatile cover across many positions, but he isn't dominant or a key player for us at CB. Welsh is young and inexperienced, not expecting miracles but needs to be getting some game time to help develop. But that half is showing us that we are very very short outside of Ajer and Julien. Need another one in ASAP before we even entertain Ajer moving on.

    Soro, doesn't look bad, but there is a lot of work to be done to get him trained to our style of midfield and to find his role in the side. I am actually very happy if we go in to the season with the following as players for the central 3 positions;
    Brown, McGregor, Rogic, Christie, Henderson, Robertson, Soro, Ntcham.
    But if anyone was to leave (Ntcham?) then replacement needs to happen as it suddenly gets short of depth.

    Bain, feel for him, but obvious is obvious that GK is THE priority.

    Klimala and Dembele are both showing they have certainly stepped their game up in terms of strength and determination and both should be in match day squads going forward.

    Boli is just a massive worry, he isn't Celtic class at all. Get rid of him and seriously bring someone else in to the side. At this stage, Taylor and Hickey as LB options will suffice, if not perfect. At least Taylor is showing he is developing well and Hickey shows great promise and potential.

    Some positives from that half.

    Bitton has played really well again at the back. I like Klimala's work rate and he's held it up well, but just a few "*" touches/passes as well.

    Soro is a puzzle. Some of his touches and tackling has been great, but positionally he looks lost. Lenny was telling him to stay deep a few times.
