Looks like he is going to leave at some point , sooner or later ( his perogative ) but as long as we have an adequate replacement lined up , we might as well make it at a time and deal that suits us .

I’d definitely be looking for over £20M for him in todays market, a lot of talent just lacks the experience. Keep him for 10 then he can go if he chooses, Milan are in a state anyway he’d be daft to go there just now.

He has had the odd calamity and frustrated me on numerous occasions last season. Screw the nut and I'd be happier with him. Can't deny his passion and will to win, which will be vital in a campaign where everyone and everything will be out to stop us.

At least if we do sell him we've got NL signing a defender to replace him rather than BR, then we would end up with McKenna

 

Seen that in italy theres rumours milan are readying a 20m bid with two players coming to celtic also matteo gabbia and also Mateo Musacchio , if so would take that deal

 

AC Milan are ready to redouble their efforts to land Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer.



The Serie A giants have already had an offer – believed to be in the region of around £13.5m – rejected for the Norwegian international.

However, Italian sources close to the club insist that was simply the opening gambit, and that Milan are not all discouraged from their pursuit of a player they have been tracking for the last two years.

They say Ajer’s admirers are prepared to pay up to 25 million euros (£22.4m) to get the 22-year-old.

It is also understood that the move will be pursued regardless of the identity of the club’s manager.

Stefano Pioli is currently in charge, but is tipped to be axed with his place set to be taken by German coach, Ralf Rangnick.

Most intriguingly, sources insist Milan are also ready to offer Celtic a variety of central defensive options to help sweeten the deal and help the Hoops cope with the loss of Ajer.

Among the names being talked about for permanent deals out of the San Siro are Italian Under-21 internationalist Matteo Gabbia (20) and the Argentinian Mateo Musacchio (29).

At the same time they are covering their options by also tracking a list of other highly-rated young central defenders.

Nikola Milenkovic (22) of Fiorentina, Tanguy Kouassi (18) of Bayern, and Luca Kilian (20) of German club Paderborn 07 are among those under consideration

 

£22.5m is a lot of money. I'd take it. He's got bags of potential but with that sort of money you're looking to make some serious investment across the team.

 

Around £20M and an u21 international sounds like a done deal to me, with the way our board deals. Hard to argue against it too...

 

If he stays I'd like to see him swapped from that left position.
It doesn't make sense to have a player that can play RB one game to then be shifted to the left of a back 3 where he looks awkward and runs into trouble.

 

Until we sign a couple of cbs we need to keep him . If he goes all we have is Jullien

 

£20m plus a cb sounds a great deal. If an u21 International permanent another player for us to build but I think I would rather the 29 year old and build Welsh.
At times I think Ajer isn't a 20m player but how many 22 year old have played 200 plus professional games in top flights, Europe and cups (no lower leagues)? It is a * of an achievement that.

 

22 million + Musacchio would be a phenomenal deal.
