As long as he’s ready for the season starting, there is no issue.

There have been a million players in the history of football starting pre-season not in their best shape. That’s why we have a pre-season.

Everyone’s body is different too, some people find it easier to stay fit than others and some need to work harder at it. If Griffiths is in the latter category, I have faith in him to get ready in time for us playing games.

I certainly won’t be paying attention to anything in The Sun. Folk are just overreacting because Griffiths is an easy target.

JC has suggested waiting for a valid quote or explanation before everyone jumps too the wrong conclusion.

So, you know his fitness is pish?

He definitely isn’t ill, injured, isolating, family illness, not joining up later?

Hes not isolating. Hes training with other players on fitness. Pictures a plenty.

It's really not a conspiracy, again griffiths cant be relied upon. * shame because hes deadly, fact is we need another top notch striker.

As ancient texts say... beware of tabloids selling exclusives!

Wee man isn't doing himself any favours, it doesn't look good for him and he must be on his 9th life with the club by now, but... we've written him off before and he keeps coming back. It's why he's so popular with us all.

The ice is thin but the club hasn't pulled the trigger on him yet. Hopefully it'll shake out and we'll see him back in the hoops and scoring again. If not, we'll move on. We've lost bigger and better, and certainly with less baggage

Well, everyone has been isolated training by themselves it's unsurprising that's some will be at different levels.

It's just following a pattern. How long has it been since Griffiths has been reliable enough to be a starter?
    His 40 goal season.

That was what 4 years ago?
Time to get a new striker.

Some players were going to come back fitter than others from what was something unforeseen. He still has a few weeks to get up to speed. He doesn't look lardy in his pictures so I think the fat thing the papers are throwing is bollocks.

That's just not true he's been fit plenty but often behind two of the best strikers we've had since Larsson, in Dembele and Edouard.

His calf keeps going when played more than a bench player. It is true. I hope your right because I love the we man but signs are pointing to the exit door and this years to important to be messing around.

I.know what your getting at, but hes hardly been unreliable. He has health.issues which cant just be pointed as unprofessional or such IMHO.

I think the wee man might be down the pecking order though.

If Paddy clicks could be a case of him being 3rd or 4th choice. Id personally sell Bayo and maybe go for Weissman.

I'm not being sentimental, if we need to go into the market then so be it..

However, Celtic fans writing him off without any information is a disgrace tbh. He gets a hard enough time as it is.

Some players may have came back a bit less fitter and staying for a more thorough pre-season or have knocks not worth risking , Johnston , Griffiths etc...

Griff is our second striker though. More important than Johnston (no disrespect to him)

Even if it’s true it’s understandable, his mental health issues don’t just disappear and throw lockdown would of gotten worse as we’ve all struggled. He’ll lose that weight in no time, it’s not like he’s going beer gardens and *.

such an overreaction to sun clickbait.

So * if he's a yard or so short? He'll get there in less than 6 weeks.

Meanwhile toblerone dome is mincing about beer gardens in Glasgow, just aff a * plane and nae one gies a *.

Griff is just an easy target. NO other player would get this level of media scrutiny. Clickbait pish
