So that's the Zombies complaining through the Fat Cheerleader on Talksport about when the games played. Surely they aren't that thick!! The game used to have the best atmosphere when both clubs got 8k visiting fans. But the Zombies ruined that. Then we have why the game is so late in being played. We'll it's simple is it not. With no fans the Sky mob won't be happy and with them already having to wait on money owed by Scottish football then surely we should be trying our best to keep the main sponsor if Scottish football sweet. Or do we just say * them just to keep that mob happy. The excuses have started already from them. Over the last 9 years or so the games been played 4 times within the first 4 or 5 games then it's 7, 8 or 9 th game. A lot of shouting about a game that will be played on the pitch and even with some fans in we still will he the more disadvanged anyway 59000 not there and only 800 of theirs.

Exactly so why are they greeting ? No matter what happens there's no chance we will have 60k in the ground so we are at a major disadvantage when it comes to the vocal backing. They would only have had 800 walking dead extras there anyway so to them it's hardly a massive loss. I really don't get what the issue about when the games being played is about.

just read this on huns news, Celtic didn’t make any request, Lennon said he thought it’d be a good idea to have the game late in answer to an interview question, they’re really getting their excuses in early this season

Whilst there’s plenty to be said for fans calling out the SPFL’s decision to grant Celtic’s request of playing the first Old Firm derby as late as possible

NEIL DONCASTER believes fans WILL be allowed in for the first Old Firm game of the new season.

The first two months of the campaign, which starts on August 1, will be played behind closed doors as coronavirus restrictions remain in place.

But SPFL chief executive Doncaster is hopeful there will be a crowd when rangers travel to Celtic Park on October 17.

The Hampden supremo admitted he expects the Scottish government to give fans the green light after revealing the full Premiership fixture list for 2020/21.

Asked if supporters would be there, Doncaster said: “We certainly hope so. But we are in a situation where we are not even allowed to play friendly games, never mind competitive games.

“We are waiting on Scottish Government approval, which will hopefully be forthcoming shortly, for friendly games and then the commencement of competitive matches on the first of August.

We are working with the Scottish Government on hopefully getting fans in as soon as safely possible.

“We have been starved of football for four months and we have seen leagues across Europe returning, in some cases with quite a few fans inside the stadium.

Has there been any update on when the remaining cup games should be played? I see they’re not mentioned within the SPFL key dates and can’t see any mention on the SFA site either.

I think they'll be waiting to see how things progress, especially with getting crowds back in. The Semis and Final are a big money spinner for them for the corporate, so they'll be desperate to get it played in front of a crowd.

True. The SPFL definitely don’t appear to have left a space in the schedule for the semi finals or final though, so I’d expect us to go into the new year having played a game or two less than the huns.

CELTIC are facing a fixture nightmare which could see their postponed matches against Aberdeen and St Mirren played NEXT YEAR.

The Hoops' matches against St Mirren and Aberdeen were called off after Boli Bolingoli's secret trip to Spain.

Bolingoli, 25, didn’t tell Hoops bosses he’d been to the high-risk country, failed to isolate when he returned — then played in Sunday’s game against Kilmarnock.

It leaves Celtic with a fixture headache to find room to cram in rearranged fixtures in the already squashed calendar.

As a result of the postponements title rivals Rangers could push to an eleven point Lead the league.

The Hoops' European commitments, whether progressing in the Champions League or dropping into the Europa League, as well as Scotland's Nations League and Euro 2020 play-offs could see the Aberdeen and St Mirren games played in January, 2021.

The Hoops could also face a rescheduled fixture against Livingston should they make it to the final of the Scottish Cup.

Celtic return to action against Dundee United on 22 August and face a constant run of matches without rest.

If they overcome Reykjavik in the Champions League they will play in the second qualifying round against either Ferencvaros of Djurgarden on 25/26 August.

The Hoops will then play Motherwell on 29 August before the international break for the Nations League.

Celtic then travel to Ross County on 12 September before potentially playing in the third Champions League qualifier scheduled for 15/16 Sept

Livingston at home is scheduled for 19 September with the first leg of the Champions League play-offs on 22/23.

The return leg is planned for 29/30 September with the Hoops taking on Hibs in league duty in between.

Celtic then face St Johnstone on 2 October before another international break until 17 Oct.

The Hoops will return to action on 17 October with the first Old Firm derby against Rangers, which could be followed by a Champions League group stage matchday.

An Aberdeen league and Scottish Cup semi-final double header is scheduled for 24 and 31 October, with a potential second outing in the Champions League group stage in between.

Celtic could start November with further European duties on 3/4, before taking on Motherwell which is directly followed by another international break.

The Hoops will travel to Hibs on November 21 with Champions League fixtures then set for the midweek, followed by the Betfred Cup last 16 ties on 28/29 November.

Two European nights as well as home games against St Johnstone and Kilmarnock start the Christmas period for the Hoops, with Betfred Cup quarter-finals on 15-17 December.

Celtic are scheduled to take on Livingston on December 19 but the match could be moved if Celts progress into the Scottish Cup final set for 20 December

After calming down a bit, think its vital to remember that no points were lost today.

The club's only crime is dropping two points at Killie. What it means is we're going to have a chance later on in the season to really drive our points tally up. Regardless of when we play St Mirren and the sheep, we'll always be heavy favourites and should win both matches.

Need to use the week wisely and go again. A good chance to get the confidence going again vs Reykjavik and then Tannadice. Here's hoping!

Based on that fixture list, if we are going well in the league games we have played by the time the league cup comes around I would be playing the younger and fringe players in those games. Where I would love another treble this is serious fixture congestion.

It really shows how badly we need reinforcements in the squad who can contribute if we make European Group stage football.
