A decent record, I imagine a few clubs would want. However he is 28 and prior to this season his goal tally was not great so could be a 1 hit wonder.

I think we can buy better and with better potential sell on prospects

A player who grows with his surroundings and has done so since playing in the Swedish 2nd tier. Elite in the air (has won the most headers of any Bundesliga player this season) with a high work rate and a physical playstyle. Humble personality who doesn't like being the center of attention.

In addition to many clubs from the island, the miners are on the top striker of the Iron. In addition to Scotland's champions Celtic from the English Premier League Newcastle United and FC Bournemouth, the top trio Leeds United, West Bromwich and FC Brentford as well as the Bundesliga from Schalke 04 belong to the group of interested parties. In addition to Newcastle, the squires are currently the most attractive option for Andersson despite the current turbulence. For Union, on the other hand, a transfer to the island would be significantly more worthwhile for financial reasons, since the exit clause - which is in the mid single-digit million range - is higher for English clubs than for German ones. There is talk of up to 30 percent more.

The list of people interested in center-forward Sebastian Andersson is long, now Celtic Glasgow could become a prominent contender. The Scottish champions will shortly submit an offer for the Swedish attacker to FC Union for six million euros. A French rival could also get things moving.

    1. FC Union has been preparing for a possible departure of its top scorer for a long time, with Andersson playing with twelve goals and three assists in his first Bundesliga season in the focus of various clubs. In addition to Celtic, the French first division club Lille OSC could also become concrete and submit an offer

Thanks to an opt-out clause, Andersson, who extended his contract with Union in February to 2022, can leave Köpenicker on regular terms and for a sum in the mid single-digit million range. The exact amount depends on the destination country. English clubs, for example, are said to have to pay up to 30 percent more than German prospects. According to kicker information, the clause expires in early August. Therefore, a decision about the future of the recently 29-year-old Sweden could be made in the next two weeks.

Andersson's dream is still to move to the Premier League. Newcastle United and the promoted Leeds United and West Bromwich Albion are also considered to be interested, also from the Schalke 04 Bundesliga. The miners confirmed on Tuesday that they had received a pledge from the North Rhine-Westphalian Ministry of Finance to grant a state guarantee . In principle, this should increase Schalke's room for maneuver, but the financially troubled club is still dependent on player sales.
