    Thanks pete, it's only a five minute drive away, there were a few going up yesterday evening, I spoke to the caretaker for the fishing club and he said the pools were boiling with salmon having a rest before tackling the ladders.

    I have never been lucky enough to see Salmon in the Wild. On my Wildlife bucket list big time.
    The best experience I ever had of wild fish was a lovely small Grizedale Forest lake in the Lake District on a school holiday back in the day. There was a bridge in the middle and it was about 8 feet or so deep,really clear and I could see loads of Perch,clearer than clear. There were lovely water plants as well.
    On that holiday I also saw my first ever Buzzard being chased by 2 Carrion Crows over the Forest. Priceless memories:50:

    I see this beauty most days sitting on one of the lamposts on the slip from the M80 onto the M73. I’m not sure what it is, but I love seeing the outline of a bird of prey.[​IMG]
