We could hand the lot over to the Celtic Foundation for community use.

50k in any community or charitable project can go a long way. I am sure our Club will make good use of the money. Dementia survey for ex players, help for players whose careers were cut short through injury / ill health etc. There are so many things that could be done with the money.

The SFA have done a deal to help stricken Scottish clubs secure emergency loans from merchant bank Close Brothers.

Club chairmen appealed to the governing body when their existing bankers point blank refused to lend to football clubs.
Scottish sides have had a bad credit rating with the banking sector for two decades.

However, SFA President Rod Petrie has now written to the 42 senior teams confirming that Close Brothers - a listed bank with assets of £13billion - will receive applications for two types of lending related to COVID-19.

The Coronavirus Business Interruptions Scheme (CBILS) is 80% backed by the government and offers loans of up to £5million for clubs with a turnover of £45million or less.

Directors can also apply to Close Bros for loans, hire purchase or leasing agreements after the SFA agreed to underwrite a percentage of any non-CBILS loan.

The SFA distributed £1.5million to help struggling clubs in March, with £8million of SPFL prize money handed out when the season was called early.

Half of the cash from a new £25million a year Sky TV deal is also due to be shared amongst clubs at the beginning of August, when the SPFL plan to kick off the new league season.

With the cost of COVID-19 testing for players and staff likely to be only partly met by £50,000 grants by philanthropist James Anderson, however, former Hibs chairman Petrie has confirmed another lifeline in a letter to clubs saying: 'I am pleased that I was able to bring a proposal to the Board of the Scottish FA which I can now share with you as a proposal.

'The Scottish FA has agreed in principle a partnership with Close Brothers, a modern merchant bank which is prepared to receive applications for COVID-19 related funding from clubs. The Scottish FA will pass enquiries from clubs on to Close Brothers.

'There is no commission for introductions or any other financial incentive for the Scottish FA.
'I hope you welcome this initiative by the Scottish FA to introduce Close Brothers, a respected lender which is prepared to engage with clubs at this challenging time for us all.'

When do we think we will see capacity crowds in paradise again? Is it too much to hope for that this year? I'm * itching to go to a game again and waste my money on a death burger and the paradise windfall.

Entirely dependent on folks behaviour just now. New Zealand is just about back to normal in June, with full capacity crowds at sporting events etc...

Some sports are back at Full Capacity in New Zealand. Rugby is the Rugby League isn't as the New Zealand team play in the Aussie competition. Still a few guide lines but New Zealand done the right thing country straight into lockdown shut the borders no one in or out.

Then they made people who was essential workers and everyone else stayed home or they would get fined by the police if they weren't on the essential list. We done none of this

I am well aware of what they done and what we didn’t. You missed arguably the biggest difference of mandatory quarantines for incomers straight away.

My point is this year has 6 months to run and NZ managed to get their * in order in a couple months to allow full stadiums to return. There is a chance that stadiums can be full before the end of 2020 but that is entirely dependant on behaviours just now.

I'm also well aware of what they done I'd say more than most as I'm from there and family is still living there so cheers for that point appreciate it. Difference is they have a prime minister who is good and actually cares about what's best for the country.

Making informed decisions to benefit the nation not just the * that is Boris Johnson. If the UK had done what New Zealand did they would be in a much better position now and we could be looking at a staged return for fans

Does anyone know if people will be able to attend Hearts funeral or will it be restricted to a handful of their fans?

I guess the fear now is now, legal action curtails the start of the season.

Not sure if this has been mentioned here or anywhere else.

I take it we will need to do some sort of distanced huddle?
