Using racism as an excuse for his own failings as a manager, pathetic really with the amount of other * going on in the world this is the apparent injustice he wants to highlight.

 

What a *, don't remember anyone saying he should go because of the colour of his skin. I remember everyone saying he should go because he was clueless and naive.

 

No doubt Barnes experiences as a child of the 60's & 70's and a footballer through the 80's has shaped his world view but to apply this to his sacking at Celtic is just blatantly wrong, he was wildly out of his depth. Plain and simple. It's a slap in the face to the club that gave him the opportunity in the first place.

 

Mowbray got sacked after a similar amount of time and he had the goodwill of being a former player behind him and was an experienced manager, results are all that matters here, this is really poor from Barnes.

There may well be a bias in football overall when it comes to black managers getting jobs, which makes it all the more baffling he'd have any sort of swipe at us when we've taken a punt giving him his first job in the game.

 

I just had no memory of points difference, wouldn't have been able to tell you if it was 3 or 30.

Between this and the trans/gender stuff, we are going to end up giving disclaimers every time we open our mouths, even to order a * hamburger.

"Of course sir, we have a specially selected range of vegan only meat and dairy free cheese selection. I will submit that order for you, would you like to take a seat over there and we will bring your order?"
"I'm afraid it is against my beliefs to be seated, I must insist that I am free to make that own choice without any outside influence or else my personal and unknown beliefs to you may be oppressed."


Even then some whining * still won't be happy.

The humiliation from ICT, and dressing room bust up at half time meant Barnes got the heave ......Ryans dad was ICT's man of the match !!!

We were within touching distance til January then imploded, effectively were in the same situation as the huns were this season and last, out of all competitions and season over by February.

He’s totally convinced about the racial bias. He’s still arguing on Twitter even now.

It’s quite shocking tbh, painting an entire support like that with very little to back it up.

Some of the responses from Celtic fans are bad (it’s Twitter after all) but many are very intelligent and concise. You can see a genuine hurt and disbelief from many that he’s levelling this accusation at the support. It’s more than reputational damage for many of us.
