The crows are really funny here. We have masses in the trees around the corner but it the odd ones who stand out. When we're driving round you see at least half a dozen on the trip sitting solitary on a rock facing the sea like they're contemplating life or something. :56:

Nah mate, thats at Carnoustie, a part of beach you can only access at low tide, near the Barry Buddon military ranges.

Lunan Bay is epic. Apparently rammed at the weekend there, car park full and wee road down choca.

Our eldest girl always carries bee rescue liquid with her. She's a bit of an Emergency Breakdown Service for bees. She helped out this wee fella yesterday during her walk in the park.

I had a walk around Easky/ Rathlee today, it was a beautiful morning in the warm sun and the birds were out in force feeding on the insects that were also out in force, best mornings walk I've had in a while, we were on Gleneasky Bog bagging turf for the winter all weekend so a quiet stroll around a country lane was all the more welcome.

Where do you see all these cool birds man?

Went for a walk in the forest near home yesterday in south Derry but saw very little bird life. The forest workers are doing a lot of clearing at the moment. I did hear a couple of stonechats and a cuckoo. There were a few robins but they were very shy. I had brought supplies just in case but they didn't show much interest, seemed quite timid...unlike their more brash, pushy and arrogant cousins from Tyrone. There was also a wee bird's nest by the path, either blown down/out or abandoned.

A magpie chased a young hooded crow from the garden yesterday but a couple of minutes later the young crow returned with one of his parents. The magpie couldn't get away quickly enough. The parent stayed in the garden keeping a watchful eye while the youngster explored.
