Likeable guy and he's lived his dream. The right call to release him.

Would've kept him but maybe he wanted to leave to get more minutes in, good luck to him anyway always gave 100 per cent.

Might be a bit off topic but it always * me off when Hayes came on and would do that aimless punt up the left hand side or do something slack and you'd get a few 'nae luck Johnny boy' or he'd get a bit of encouragement, whereas Jamesie would maybe lose possession or whatever and * would go radio rental.

 

Real surprised at Lenny not giving Hayes a new contract. The right decision but was sure he was gonna give him another year just because he liked him and in the past that’s been enough! Glad to see we’re not wasting money on emotion like we have been found to in the past. Wish Hayes all the best though, great guy and always gave 110%

Correct decision. A grafter who would run through brick walls, but not good enough. The problem is, he is at least on par with Taylor and Bolingoli who will be on more money.

I would’ve given him another year to help with the 10. I think solid personalities and experience of the Scottish league will be important next season.

I wouldn't he's been here 3 years gives his all good celtic man but he's not good enough and any celtic fan saying he is needs there eyes tested. No point keeping him for centiment because he tries etc need better quality pure and simple

 

Squad players are always needed, I honestly think he has been a good squad player. Called upon when needed at either left wing or left back. It also leaves more space to fill when recruiting for the left. We currently now have Bolingoli, Taylor, Connell and Mikey in the left with Jamesy and Calmac to fill in but taking them from stronger positions. We now really need 2 or 3 players on that side rather than 1 or 2.

 

Yeah I would agree he’s not good enough on the field for Celtic but I’ve rarely seen a player seemingly so well liked off the field by the other players.

A player like that who also works hard can be very important in bringing the group together. I feel like on the balance of the current situation, with what is at stake next season and the fact he is likely not on mega cash I would’ve kept him for one more year.

I definitely agree on not keeping a player purely for sentiment.

 

I agree that Forrest gets it hard from some fans, but regrading the two, ones a top first team player and the other isn't even a first pick of the bench. One shouldn't be making silly mistakes and the other needs encouragement to get them out of his game.

 

Correct decision to move on, although I thought he'd get another year due to the uncertainty on the transfer market when we're back playing again.

Was a quick 3 years. Collected a careers worth of medals. Would have kept around for a year purely as he was left back and right and left wing cover potentially when we could have a lot of fixtures over the next season

 

I think he is good enough to start for any of the other SPL teams. They should be glad to have him.

 

We need 1 or 2 on that side im not writing them off I trust Lennon to bring in the right quality of player in there. Think he knows thats the area which needs strengthening but I still don't get the bad wrap Taylor gets Think he will get better and better with us

 

We have right wingers and 2 lbs and he was 3 lw I would rather see someone from the youth team get a shot. Maybe he sees Luca Connell going in there
