I'd take him for anything under £1m. He has potential, has quite a bit of experience already at a young age and must have something about him with some of the interest he's been having.

    Happily take him.
17 and had clearly shown he has something that we at first didn't spot.
Be 3-4 years before we know for sure what kind of impact he could have, but we know fine well how great teenagers on the full back positions can be for us recently.

My only concern is the experience for Europe, although I doubt is overly going to be a great concern for us making much more of an impact other than getting to the group stages for this coming season.
    Taylor, boli, hickey.
First two get another year to prove they can step it up, otherwise one or both are sold. A year for hickey to bed in and get up to our speed from hearts.

Come following season it's one plus hickey, or we go and buy another left back with hickey.

Do we sign him then loan him out to like a Killie or a Motherwell something keep him developing by playing he can also play RB which makes him quite versatile. is a loan more of likely option

Definitely worth picking up. I'd imagine we could get him for peanuts with Hearts going down.

Sign him and loan him out for a season, then take it from there.

Perhaps, likely get more game time, but I wonder if he would be more likely to develop if he got 20 odd games for us instead?

In my mind I'm trying to work out various permeation of our potentially signings.
Hickey and Taylor at left back, and say we don't get Ely back, could we see boli play further up the left wing with Johnston? Would give everyone on that side more game time that they all need. (Although the pref would clearly be for Ely to come back, but taking in to consideration the costs during the Covid thing).

This will turn out to be a great signing. Always find it fascinating the critisism he has got. He played over a full season of spl football as a left back at a team falling apart and he's only 8 months older than dembele, it was only now (couple months shy of 18 that Tierney made his senior competitive debut). This guy started a Scottish cup final against us two weeks after making his competitive debut at 16. Personally I'd give him the summer and some bedding in training time with the squad. If he was way off inclusion and needing game time in January he could go out to play second half of season then.

Played well in the final against Forrest as well if I remember right..

Good player the boy that if coached and developed right....can be a top full back..

He left our academy because he thought he would get more game time elsewhere. So we didnt let him go as such

I've never really watched him except games against us. Obviously he's still young, is he potentially suited to any other positions?

And in fairness that shows courage and desire and he certainly backed it up by breaking into that hearts team at 16

Refused to play for the U-17's , not because he should have been in the U21's but because he felt he deserved a call up to the senior squad. Considering Scotland have one of the best left backs in the world , who is also captain, along with Tierney and Taylor there, that was some call by the lad and his dad!

Played a blinder against us in the cup final and he stuck out like a sore thumb with is quality. Was rinsed by the huns on each and every occasion he played against them this season though.

All things said. Would take :67:

Didn't realise it was him that left us and not us letting him go.

Understandable as well, considering at that time he was looking at Tierney in the squad and everyone and their dug would have assumed Tierney would have been here for life...

If anyone would question this move, watch the game against Hearts where Hickey got injured (Hamstring?) early on against Forrest or Dembele im sure. Would have been so easy for him to put his hand up and go off injured but he stayed on and put in a determined defensive performance. Remarkable for the age of 17. Also scored a winner in the edinburgh derby too.

His attitude is second to none and what he has achieved at such a young age is extraordinary. He will go far but i dont see his future at full back. Despite being so small, i think he will move infield to centre mid.

if we can get him on the cheap its a no brainer. We should be constantly acquiring the best scottish talent. Thats it.

Looks to be an excellent talent. Can't imagine him being sold for anything less than £5m though. Would be great if we got him for a reasonable fee.

Id take him and loan him out to another spl team. He needs games at this age and to continue his development

    Not for me.

Fair play If we develop and make a few quid, I'd just rather see the cash spent on better than we have for this position

I think the cash will be minimal because of our 30% sell-on clause.

If he's signed then I can see his development being similar to what we did with Christie with 3 seasons out on loan. He's still only 17 at this point.
