Watched some 90's EPL games on BT this morning. Klinsmann's debut at Sheff Wed. Haaland and Keane going at it at Old Trafford, Southampton v Boro at the Dell. I'd forgotten how good Keegan's Newcastle were to watch for a neutral though. 3-1 up at home to (a decent) Villa. Up front they had Ferdinand and Shearer. Villa make it 3-2 with 20 mins left so what does he do ? Take a winger off and put Asprillia on. They won 4-3 but Yorke had a very close offside decision go against him and they were absolutely bricking it for the last 10 mins.

Fresh doubt has been cast on the proposed takeover of Newcastle United by a Saudi-backed consortium after it emerged the Premier League has been sent a ruling by the World Trade Organisation which states that Saudi Arabia facilitated piracy of TV broadcasts of sports events, including English football.

The Premier League is one of several sporting bodies that have received the 123-page ruling, which is expected to be made public next month, from the WTO, an international body that adjudicates on trade disputes.

The ruling, made on April 23, is understood to state that the Saudi government is connected to the beoutQ pirate satellite and streaming service.
