That guy is my absolute hero.

Will go down as one of the football greats who has passed through Parkheads gates, just to play football, the Glasgow Celtic way :62:

He's a bona fide Celtic Great.

If he plays a role in delivering The 10, then he gets promoted to Legend status.

IN the wake of being crowned league champions for a ninth successive time, Celtic’s club captain Scott Brown has hailed the efforts of his team-mates both during this season, and throughout the last nine campaigns.

Following last year's unprecedented and historic Treble Treble, this feat equals the record set by Jock Stein’s legendary side of the 1960s and 70s, and puts Neil Lennon’s men one step closer to becoming the most successful team in the history of league football in Scotland.

“It’s incredible, to be perfectly honest,” said Brown in conversation with Celtic TV. “We obviously wanted to play every single game but, due to the circumstances, we’ve not been able to. I think the league has done the right thing having crowned us champions, because it was only a matter of time anyway.

“We do our talking on the park, and we’ve shown over the last nine seasons with how consistent we’ve been. We wanted to continue that, we wanted to show how dominant we’ve been with the leagues as well.

“I feel for the lads because we’re not able to get the trophy, we’re not able to have Trophy Day with the fans and with our families as well. It’s hard for the lads that way, but I’m sure we’ll get a Zoom call and we’ll all celebrate that way!”

Scott Brown becomes the first Celtic captain since the club’s greatest ever leader, Billy McNeill to lead the team to nine-in-a-row, and, alongside James Forrest, has been part of this historic journey from the beginning.

For the Hoops No.8, the magnitude of securing nine-in-a-row cannot be underplayed – and having now done so only serves to drive him and his team-mates towards yet more success.

The captain added: “When we got eight-in-a-row, we were extremely focused to make sure we got the nine. We know how hard we’ve worked over the years. To get eight, and then not get over the line to get nine, that fantastic record, would have been extremely harsh on us, especially with what we’ve done over the years.

“We knew that after December, we had to focus in order to make sure we were on our game every single week and that we pushed each other. We’ve done that since then and we’ve worked extremely hard. For us, these seven weeks have been our recovery. Now, whenever training is ready to go, we’ll be ready to start.

“It’ll be amazing to get everyone back to Celtic Park, to see everyone’s faces, and to see us lift the trophy as well. We can’t wait to get back to winning ways, and we need to make sure that we push and work as hard as we possibly can to get 10, and I’m sure all the fans will be backing us all the way.”

I think he's a LEGEND already scootz. Treble treble winning captain; Invincible captain; NINE IN A ROW captain.
    I'd say that's LEGENDARY

He is without doubt a Legend. Second only to Larsson in the modern era.

And that's just down to Henrik's sheer ability.

@Seán Mac D I can remember * making the exact same accusations against Paul Lambert. It's * that don't know football.

Nobody says anything even slightly critical towards him now, in hindsight, same clowns who write Broony off time and time again will come to swear they were always his biggest fans.

He will go * banana's for the 10....If you think he's tough as nails now wait till the next season starts,he will rip apart anyone that we end up carrying,no * about with him and Lenny in this now.

Would like to see him rested IF he happens to struggle himself in a few games,no shame in this at all considering what hes done in the years with us.

Guy is a * Legend and goes down with the rest already in my opinion.

    100%

He even jokes about it himself to Sutton that he keeps getting written off but it spurs him on to prove them wrong.

I still maintain that his 2 performances v Lazio this season were spectacular to watch. He didn't get sucked in when they were trying to get us out of shape, he pressed when he had to and he led us to 2 great wins against a genuinely top side.

He doesn't have the grace of a Rogic, the touch of a McGregor, the threat of a Christie but there is a reason that he has been a mainstay for every manager during one of our most successful periods ever. He is an out and out winner; he sets the standard and doesn't let anyone dip below it.
