I don't even think he is that great it is a no brainer taking that sort of money in my opinion. Anywhere in the region of 20 million and Filip Benkovic would be brilliant for us.

Ajer is better than Boyata by a clear distance for me. Much greater potential too.

He’s a good player but really vulnerable to the ball inside the channel.

£20m is a no brainer for me.

 

Boyata was an absolute * bomb scare of the highest order, and worse than that he * * the bed when we lost to those * on pens in 2015, * got ran around the block by an OAP Kenny Miller then went off with a phantom injury, should of been hounded out of Celtic after that absolute *, * couldn't pass it, had 0 concentration and his positional sense was an embarrassment at times. Yes he had good games and was brilliant in the air but we are much better off without him and Ajer is already a much better player than Boyata ever will be. The mistakes Boyata used to make were an embarrassment, Rangers, Hamilton, Bayern just a few absolute howlers he gave away.

Ajer makes mistakes however he is very young and he never started out as a CB, id take 20m as long as we spent a good 10 of it replacing him and then trying to get another Ajer in.

 

Nah mate, Boyata was a limited footballer.

 

Sell him move El Hamed into the middle and bring in a CB to cover as well as Welsh or deas coming through then go with this

 

Naw because he was a bombscare and a shitebag to boot, but you carry on being delusional. It was his actions on the park that done it for me.

 

Jozo is a better centre back than Boyata and he’s 4th choice just now.

There’s a reason Boyata went to Hertha Berlin and Ajer is wanted by many EPL clubs.

 

I would be with you there. For me I still rate him and can see him improving and becoming a very good center back. But having said all that if someone was to offer 20m for him I would take the money and run before they changed their mind.

 

I wouldn't sell him

Admittedly he's declined this season but I'm not willing to write him off yet. Even if he has another substandard season like this one he still may get a good fee next time. Its worth the risk because he was in outstanding form for a long time up until recently.

 

Too much booze mate or too much fishing possibly.

 

He didn't decline this season, he was one of our best players.

 

We wouldn't get a good fee with 1 year left on his contract. I think we could replace him for under £5m too.
He hasn't declined, he just hasn't really improved much. Jullien is also the better player, whereas previously Ajer was up against Boyata

 

Can’t see us getting 22 million more like 12 million but who knows ?

 

I'd take it. We will be looking to sell to cover income loss from tickets. If we could sell players so we don't have to sell Eddy then fine.

 

Boyata being underrated by a few, but he was a liability too. The only thing I'd say Ajer was a lot better than him at is his technique and passing.

 

Boyata was fine when balls were being crossed into the box and it was backs to the wall. His decision making was poor and he was brutal on the ball. He had some shockers for us. The game we won at Ibrox 3-2, it was laughable how bad he was, but it was that kind of performance we seen too often from him. It was a toss up between him and Simunovic who got dropped after we got pumped at Tynecastle 4-0. Rodgers chose Simunovic as the fall guy, but it could quite as easily been Boyata.
