The only way I could see Doncaster resign is if he starts getting abuse off the zombie horde and it becomes too much for him. He must be sickened by the way they've tried to make him a scape goat through all this, just to sell a few season books and limp on for another season.

I do wish he he had released the money as an 'advance' like the Huns wanted. We'd be sitting right now with clubs having the choice between declaring positions final or trying to finish the season and losing next seasons TV Deal, with the Huns desperately scrambling for someone to blame.

 

Looks like UEFA are considering scrapping qualifiers for CL next season due to Covid-19. That would mean us starting in GS of CL and only League Champions plus CL and EL holders being in the competition.

They wanted a loan based on current standings. Rangers could have finished 3rd, no place in table was guaranteed. Also to hand out loans Rangers would have had to show accounts. Rangers' resolution was not viable.

I’ve not read into it but I don’t think that’s likely mate. They’ll put in all the automatically qualified and then they’ll sort something out amongst those that go through qualification.

Most likely I think they would either go with top ranks FAs skip qualifying or club coefficient. Not sure if we would benefit from either.

 

Wouldn't get too excited the article I read was that they were looking at making the qualifiers one off games

 

It will be a sweet celebration, 9IAR is an amazing achievement.

However, it won't be the usual celebration with social distancing etc and given the tragic loss of life we've had, its going to be a little tricky handling the celebration ceremony without coming across as crass. Wonder what it will look like.

If UCL do scrap the qualifiers, who’s to say we would be automatically qualified. We have been starting in 2nd QR the last couple years. They would probably start with all the teams who are auto in thr plays off then 3rd QR ect.

 

Surely just do it via club co-efficient and not league. Have no idea where that puts us but being the champion route a good chance

 

Maybe, but would have to be teams who are currently in a qualifying position in their league right now then compare coefficients.

Couldn’t be done on just co efficient as there are teams high in the rankings who have been sitting mid table or something for a couple of seasons.

Will be a ball ache for UEFA no doubt, specially with the way they go about their business

 

Just all leagues in qualifying positions, ones with auto spaces get them, then the rest is whatever the co-efficient. Puts us in with a chance I'd say.
