    Could well be. There was another * nearby and only 2 in the field. I raised my camera and something ducked right down. I thought was it dragged down or did it lie down.

    Today pretty quiet in my local patch,i did get a brief but delightful view of a pair of Bullfinch and one of the local Peregrines carrying prey.
    Over my garden early evening while playing with Ruby Roo Boxer 1 Swift and 3 Swallow went overhead.

    Had a bullfinch turn up in the back garden for the first time in years today. They used to be quite a common visitor - who knows how these patterns work?!

    I've not really been out over the last few days - need to give myself a shake and get on with it. In the meantime here's another old one from the album. A trip up Mount Keen in 2015, and what I think is a fairly chilled-out red grouse...

    Very very quiet on my local patch today,one of the local Green Woodpeckers was seen flying up from feeding on the ground.Also a pair of Chough called as they flew overhead.The odd Whitethroat seen and a singing Lesser Whitethroat seen ever so briefly.
    Tonight looks text book for Cool Migrants so hopefully i will have a shining report this time tomorrow:biggrin:

    PS At 11.15 pm last night i heard the Weeee Weeee Weeee Weeee called of an overhead migrating Whimbrel.
