The most sensible suggestion people have made is top 6 and bottom 8 split after 26 games. Problem with a 7 7 split is 1 team doesn't play each weekend.
Personally I don't see a 14 team league working great.

 

So that would give us a 31 game league. Can't see it. Also clubs outside of us and the Huns want as many games as possible against us and them.
The set up you propose would mean 8 clubs having two games and 4 clubs having 3 against each. Unless of course the huns don't make the top 6

No it would make 36 as you would split and play each other twice.
But yeah clubs won't go with it. The reality is restructuring takes long term planning. I don't think it will happen.

Just heard Neil Doncaster being interviewed on BBC Scotland. I know the SFA and the people who run it arent exactly the most popular people among the Celtic support, but this guy needs to be left alone to get on with his job. I thought he gave decent answers to the questions that were put to him. Seems that every move this guy makes is scrutinized and people nit picking every tiny detail of everything he does. I know hes getting well paid for it, but its getting out of hand now. Whatever 'evidence' newco rangers have that this guy has done some sort of 'wrong-doing' it had better be explosive and very serious not some trivial bullshit that pales into insignificance compared to whats going on at the moment. This is not the time to be messing around with small time nonsense.

So come on Sevco, out with it....... this had better be good.

 

I agree he has handled the scrutiny well. My biggest worry is why are Rangers not being scrutinised. However it can't be that difficult to defend himself, Hearts and Rangers have lied stupidly so. The media have made themselves look like * for believing the hun that cried wolf

Apparently 5 SPL clubs don't have enough players to play out the rest of the season if it restarts as so many contracts will run out at the end of May.

 

SPFL crisis meeting today with Celtic title decision and hearts relegation on the agenda.

I imagine teams also want SPFL to be able to have time to negotiate with sponsors. The league now has none, if they don't get one the prize money goes down. Bookies will now not want to sponsor us as they need to cut back. The way its heading it will be the White lightning premiership
