There’s no exact release date at the moment, but it’s coming out in Holiday 2020 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X & Google Stadia.

    Just a few tidbits:

    • It’s set in Britain (some places are saying just England, but others are suggesting there’s more).
    • The protagonist is called Eivor, and can be either male or female.
    • There’s story choices and consequences.
    • You can build a settlement and recruit people for it.
    • Can take take part in activities like hunting, fishing, dice, drinking games & flyting
    • There’s some screenshots that show you sailing
    • Like Odyssey, the game will feature mythological elements.

Eurogamer has a short interview with the lead producer that goes in to a bit more detail, for anyone interested.

Love the setting but I hope it isn't as repetitive and grindy as odyssey and origins were, odyssey was a * take.

Well there was an eagle at one point and then a glimpse of a hidden blade at the end so... Assassins Creed right enough :giggle1:

Looks great though. I'm still farting about with a 360 mind you so it wouldn't be hard to be impressed with graphics.

Looking forward to this. Been wanting a Viking AC for years.

Still yet to play Odyssey but Origins was quite good.

Seen the gameplay leak, bit of a let down tbh. It looks exactly like a Re-skin of odyssey.

I'll still be getting it anyway.

I'm sure the graphics will be top notch.

    That's disappointing.

I get that they've moved on and are making bigger games with more progression systems and skill trees etc. But they've completely lost their charm now. Just another generic open world franchise.

Last one I played was black flag in the hope it was gonna improve some aspects of the gameplay. They just look all the same to me.

17th November, will get it for PS5.

Mind you wish games would chuck multiple endings. Just get a story and stick to it.

I've just started it, like everything so far except the combat which is feels messy and unrefined. Quite buggy too but the world is nice and I like the time period of the vikings, just wish the combat was more satisfying.

    Finished this yesterday.

Probably rate it as a 7 or 7.5/10. It dragged on a bit too long and by the last 15/20 hours I had lost interest in the story. The map is massive but much if it is pretty barren. Obviously it’s still a fun game to play in terms of sneaking about assassinating enemies and taking over camps etc.

Just miss the older style of AC games. If this was like AC2, with just the 3 big cities of Valhalla explored in depth I think it could have been phenomenal.

Just started this last night, not bad so far.

I guess I'm getting a boring old * as in the past few months where I ply action games the skill level has usually been on a normal setting, I've done all my recent games to the easiest settings, lol. I'm really only interested in getting through stories. Sports games I'm different, they're usually ramped up high.

Guess this is going to be a long un.

130 hours later and I've finally finished it, not sure how much of it I actually enjoyed although it has a strong final few hours with regards to the main story I dont think its worths the dozens upon dozens of hours of boring forced so called story missions you have to go through to get to it.
Also didnt help that the combat was pretty terrible imo.
To me it feels like a 30 to 40 hour game stretched to 60 or 70 hours and that's if you only stick to the main story which I wish I had of done much earlier on instead of going round the map doing the filler * which amounts to nothing worthwhile unless your a trophy hunter.
