Still think he gets looked over a lot of the time.

Was a huge fan of him. Such a shame he only played 50 odd games for us.

Watched the Road to Seville the other day, Rab and Momo Sylla were excellent in parts of that. Douglas will be remembered for his * ups, but he done some incredible stuff getting there.

Overall though I personally think he is one of if not the worst keepers I’ve ever watched, the 3 each game at home to the huns he was an absolute disgrace. Him and Gordan Marshall were honking imo.

I think everyone knew Rab was the weak link in that side.

No disrespect to him but we were absolutely solid all over the park and he wasn’t up to that standard.

One of the worst keepers for us, aye agreed but people seem to think we got to Seville inspite of him, he was outstanding in the run to that, and it’s definitely not credit that he gets.

Big rabs stats for celtic weren't much worse than young Marshall, granted you could argue Marshall went on to have a career to a higher standard with stints in epl.

But for all of the heroics Marshall put in, in what felt like back to back super hero showings against barca and the huns, he wasn't much better in the end.

Douglas certainly gets overlooked, sure he's nothing compared to modern gk Boruc and forster especially but he deserves credit

If it wasn't for McGrain he'd be my all time favourite Celtic player. He was a touch of class in a period we were definitely struggling in. Didn't remember he'd only played 2 seasons. Had such a big impression on me.

    * Dean Saunders.

Perrier-doumbe, scored a winner for us in Scottish cup final and if it hadn’t been for his injury against Milan he might have been decent for us.

And yet we could have probably won it if we had a better keeper in the final, yes he had his moments but when he was bad he was really bad.

I agree but even with a better keeper, we might not have got there. He was brilliant in that run mate.

That’s the credit he doesn’t get.

Samaras (He single handedly won us games yet majority of us never rated or liked him)
Telfer (was suprisingly good considering his age when he came. Suprised he only ever got 1 cap for Scotland considering the level he played at for years)

Valgaeren is another gets overlooked a bit I think. Probably because he played in such a good side and it was more our attacking players that we speak about. Balde and Mjallby I think get the credit they deserve but Valgaeren less so.

Speaking just from my early memories of getting my ST Darren jackson. Nearing end if his career playing back up to larsson. Scored some good goals and managed to come back from a horrendous illness (same as weighorst).

    Another I'd say was zurawski.
Blew hot and cold but was a good goalscorer once settled and was just a shame how he went downhill due to personal and mental circumstances

Tom Boyd -would run through brick walls for us. 300+ apps for us and 70+ caps for Scotland, the captain that stopped the ten. Met him a couple of times and his enthusiasm for the club just shines through.
