Marc Rieper and as much as I hate saying it Craig Burley, they played a massive part in helping stop 10 in a row.

Commons. Apart from being a bit of a nugget now in the media, he was brilliant for us.

Well that’s true. Always hear about Stanley Matthews, Joe Bambrik or Dixie Deans (Everton).

    Chris Sutton.

Everyone knows he was good and everyone treats him as such but I don’t think some people realise how good.

Shearer and Larsson both benefited off an unselfish gem of a footballer - there is very little he couldn’t do and the fact he played centre forward, centre mid and centre half proves that.

Then you listen to interviews on Open Goal and you hear his former teammates say he was world class and not far off the King. That’s as high praise as you can get from other footballers. His failed Chelsea move and the fact of who England had playing for them up front at the time probably takes a bit of shine off a stellar career.

Still JVH for me. Other mentions for me are Charlie Mulgrew, Joe Ledley, Didier Agathe and Bobby Petta

George Connelly but probably debatable!! Some will say probably could and should have given us more. Others, like my old man, wax lyrical about the guy saying he was an absolute genius with the ball!!

Alan Thompson, was given the credit at the time but he’s not somebody we talk about as much as I feel os deserved when talking about that O’Neill team. It’s always Henrik, Lubo, Hartson, Sutton, Petrov you rhyme off.

Thommo was just as an important, and he loved a big game goal. Very rarely let us down. Phenomenal player.

    * loved Thommo, not only a class footballer but a thoroughbred winner.

Think Lennon deserved more credit in terms of his playing ability.
I remember cringing when he was booed by our own fans against Boavista in the UEFA semi.

Stuck with Celtic through a horrendous time. What a player and no doubt could have left Celtic on many occasions before he did just like Larsson.

Didnt get the chance to leave on same terms but was an amazing servant to Celtic

During the 1950's Celtic were more often than not less than successful. The 'Little Ant' was the man that did the heavy graft work, the fetch and carry, the steel in the middle that allowed Charlie Tully to shine, in addition to inspiring and instilling in youngsters such as Bertie Auld and Billy McNeill the ethics, workrate and skill that lead to the next generation's success.

Not only a fantastic player but a hard * who was always up for the fight, especially against the dead club.
