    Charles Edouard-Corridon.

played against spurs had a decent game.

O’Neill decided against it and he went onto sign for PSG and had a stormer of a UCl campaign scored a wonder goal!

Possibly the most obscure of our time...

Strachan went to a court of law to sign him as he didn't meet the international cap rule to get a work permit in the UK and was deemed an 'extraordinary talent' by the courts so was allowed to sign. When he played for us he was actually alright. I remember he scored against Falkirk and I'm pretty sure he played against Rangers. Was clearly a commercial signing seeing as we thought we had tapped into the Japanese market off the back of Naka.

Now plies his trade in the J3 League...

Faded into obscurity soon after so we probably dodged a bullet

I always remembered Kapo on FIFA at Juventus. Had his real face. When you’re younger that means he’s got to be a player.

    He never got a sniff.

Probably the most obscure I can think of is Mohammad Salim.

The first Indian footballer to play in Europe, with Celtic in 1936-37, where he impressed Willie Maley in a trial match and even more astounding than that, is that he played with no boots. He would have his feet strapped with bandages but would not wear football boots (because, well... leather). Only played 2 games as a Celtic player, but impressed on those, with a comment in the Daily Express:

"Ten twinkling toes of Salim, Celtic FC's player from India, hypnotised the crowd at Parkhead last night. He balances the ball on his big toe, lets it run down the scale to his little toe, twirls it, hops on one foot around the defender"

The strapper, pictured is none other than Celtic legend (and team trainer at the time), Jimmy McMenemy.

Funny, I thought of him as well. Davie Hay just wouldn't drop him even though he was pish. Remember he got injured for 1 game. McClair came in and scored 4 and was dropped for the next game with Melrose back in. Think that was the reason McClair left.

Remember reading this before, great story (I hadn't seen that picture though) and one that encompasses exactly what Celtic is about. If you're good enough at football that's all that matters :shamrock:
