uefa is mindfuckinblowingstupid ! theres no finishing the leagues this year , name the teams in first place , the champions and start worrying about next year ! for example , if anyone thinks that next season we,re gonna just continue to herd thousands of people into a stadium , sitting 18 inches away from each other , there off their nut, i hope i,m wrong , but life as we know it is gonna change , and as much i miss watchin my team , i have to be honest , i have so much more on my mind right now thats more important than a football match . its the first time in my life , that the weekend doesn,t mean, " here we go, intae these *" lol

Rangers and Hearts could lead a legal revolt against the SPFL if they defy UEFA’s orders and end the season now.

UEFA chief Aleksander Ceferin has made it clear that if leagues decide to finish the season prematurely, their future European qualification will be in jeopardy.

But SPFL bosses are set to defy UEFA’s directive and go against Ceferin’s wishes with Aberdeen chief Dave Cormack last night admitting the coronavirus “hurricane” leaves them with no option.

The SPFL are keen to give clubs clarity amidst the Covid-19 crisis by calling a halt to the campaign, with Celtic being crowned
    Premiership champions and Hearts relegated.

But it’s understood that could open the floodgates to potential claims against the governing bodies.

MailSport understands Rangers, Hearts and others see a clear legal route to take and will lobby fellow SPFL clubs who would be adversely affected by the decision to join them.

Rangers, along with other clubs, believe UEFA’s decision is definitive and enhances the likelihood of claims against the league and its directors.

Jambos owner Ann Budge has also already stated the Tynecastle club would consider legal action if they were unfairly sent down to the Championship.

There’s also growing concern that some factions are intent on going it alone.

They’re adamant if Ceferin’s instructions are ignored, the SFA and SPFL would be ignoring their own rules and regulations.

A league source said: “The ramifications for stopping Euro qualification could be huge for several clubs in Scotland.

Anyone who advocates anything to the contrary is setting a dangerous precedent and someone will have to take responsibility.

“It’s not just about the title or relegation – it’s about due diligence and doing the right thing.”

UEFA believe all leagues can still be finished by August and Ceferin was reacting to the Belgian FA’s decision to end their
campaign and crown Club Brugge champions.

The SPFL will hold a meeting tomorrow to discuss their next move and it’s understood they want to call the league now in order to distribute prize money to clubs.

Aberdeen supremo Cormack believes they will have to do just that if there is no prospect of football returning until September.

And he also warned even if football does resume after the summer, there could be closed-door games for the rest of the year.

Cormack said: “The best description I’ve heard of this pandemic is from the Governor of New York (Andrew Cuomo).

He described it as a 300-mile wide category five
hurricane that’s going at three miles an hour and hasn’t quite hit land yet.

“So we have a lot to go through with society in the next few weeks.

“If it’s impossible to get games played in late July or early August, I don’t think we will have any choice but to call the league.

“Over the last 48 hours we have had three
conflicting stories come out from UEFA executives.

“This is 100 per cent down to UEFA and the big five leagues being concerned about compensation.

“I would hope that some decision is reached one way or the other, whether UEFA will support us or not.”

Cormack and his investors group have pumped £2m in to the Dons to fend off the financial crisis while players and staff have deferred wages.

He has budgeted to get back in July or August but has warned it could be much longer before fans are let back into stadiums.

He said: “We need to start working on what happens if no games can be played in front of crowds.

“In Asia right now, they are relaxing some of the isolation laws and the virus has come back. Let’s say we relax isolation in June or July, can you go the next day and play games in front of 10,000 to 70,000 people?

“I’m not trying to panic people but it’s important to ask: ‘What if?’ No.1, we need to look after the players and their health.”

I don't think all the work every team has put in to this season should ever be null and void as there's only 8 games left to play. I also don't think we should be declared champions until all games are concluded.

However... If there's no way to play the last however many games, because of how far we are into the season, the positions should be made final. Only time that should not happen is if there are games in hand and the team in front can be caught. Those games should be played the week before the next season starts.

Lawwell should get off his * and tell the twats at UEFA to declare all seasons finished.
He has served as an Executive Board Member of ECA since March 2014, has been a member of the UEFA Club Competitions Committee since 2015 and was elected as one of ECA's four representatives on UEFA's Professional Football Strategy Council (PFSC) in August 2017.
He should use that to force UEFA's hand.
Tell them that if they don't declare all leagues finished then the ECA will be setting up their own European competitions in direct competition against UEFA and it will be run in a far fairer manner.

The league was supposed to be finished by 23rd May at latest before Covid-19 hit.
That should be the deadline NOT July.
If the league cannot be finished by that time then season should be declared over.
I don't give a * about Hearts and especially that ugly * Budge.
If however it takes reconstruction of the league for 1 season then so be it but season MUST be over by end of May at latest.

    * Ceferin.
He is only one man. Tell him to get tae *.

Any chance of UEFA cancelling the next season's European competitions? Worried they might go for that.

Celtic are set to support calls to keep the season alive this week as Scottish football holds emergency talks on how best to cope with the coronavirus crisis.

Record Sport first revealed on Friday that the SPFL is to hold urgent discussions around whether or not to pull the plug on the current campaign with immediate effect, crowning the Parkhead club as champions and declaring the league season over.

Those proposals have angered Rangers, who are not prepared to concede the title, and Hearts, who face being relegated and sent down to the Championship with both clubs considering legal action.

And they have prompted warnings of a potential £50m backlash from UEFA who have already threatened to blackball all Belgian clubs from European competitions unless there is a U-turn on plans to call the season and declare Club Brugge champions.

Belgium’s authorities have now stalled on implementing this decision and it’s believed they may defer it until the end of this month in order to gauge the spread of the global pandemic.

And Celtic are likely to call for a similar approach when Scotland’s clubs discuss the next step over Tuesday and Wednesday.

A source said: “Celtic’s position is very clear. We have always wanted the league season to be completed and that remains our view. If there is any chance of playing the games and finishing the season over the summer then that’s what we would prefer.

But we also understand the financial problems are piling up for clubs all across the country the longer this crisis continues. If the season has to be ended early in order to stop clubs from going to the wall then, of course, we would go along with that. It has to be all about the greater good.”

The SPFL board had scheduled crisis talks today but that was put back by 24 hours after UEFA’s hard-line reaction to the Belgian solution. The board meeting will now take place tomorrow with separate divisional discussions, involving 42 clubs from all four leagues, pushed back to Wednesday

On the back of UEFA’s threats, SPFL chief executive Neil Doncaster is also likely to call for clubs not to rush into a decision to scrap the current campaign.

A Hampden source said: “UEFA’s response to the Belgians has been quite staggering and it makes sense to sit back and see how that argument plays out for as long as Scottish football can afford to do so. Everything now points towards the end of April as clubs all over Europe will require certainty by then.

“If, at that stage, there is no prospect of football being played in June or July then these big decisions will have to be made regardless of UEFA’s threats.”

100% it will be completed behind closed doors if that’s the only options available by fifa/UEFA/govt guidelines

    * uefa. Call it now and let them try ban teams from europe because if the big guns call it they will need to ban them aswell and the sponsors wont stand for it.

    It won't.
UEFA/FIFA will not be able to do this due to the fact that medical staff that must be at stadium are needed elsewhere and UK government won't allow it.

EPl wont call season over due to them having to pay back £4 billion to tv companies and other contracts that would be broken.
