A blanket null and void was and is, not an option.

Ask yourself this.........if Liverpool had played 2 more games and secured the EPL, would a blanket null and void be on the table if it is (according to the bitter losers with an agenda) the right thing to do?

Colour me shocked. According to the zombies...we're the only club in world football that doesn't want a null and void season. Lol..

Screenshot the tweet. Retweet it to big Sutton for when the inevitable happens..

    Frame it..

His tears ARE GONNA be delicious. Hopefully BT do a live feed from inside his drum when it's confirmed there's no null and void happening and we can watch him greeting in to his king Billy duvet..

    Tony's got his number..

A leading 'pundit' applauding rugby shutting up shop for the season and wanting it for the football where he was comparing it to a horse falling and the winner still being paid out before this other whopper..

What a hurting wee gremlin clown he is man :56:

The major housebuilders and construction companies have announced that as they wont be able to finish their existing jobs to the programme they are making them all null and void and will just start new projects once the virus is sorted.

    Makes sense doesn't it.

As the days tick by, this is my thinking on it.
A sensible approach needs to be taken to when one season ends and the next begins. And from there minimise the disruption any further.

Ideally we want this while saga (the outbreak) done with asap and get the season completed by mid July, take 3 weeks off and go again mid August, no real issues then.

However, likely this will drag on till summer before things get back to a level of normality that sports can return. So I can see a time frame as you have suggested.

Would also firmly agree in that case, then next season should be looked to start as soon as possible, and cut the league cup and uefa need to cut all internationals that are not to do with qualifying for the euros.
The domestic leagues need, then, as much weekends as possible to fit the season in, so that everyone gets done by next may again and everything is resumed as normal.

My only worry, is if the entire thing drags on way longer than that. If we can't be getting to a stage of a sensible end date to this season, to allow next season to be squeezed in, we need to then call this season as it stands. Only once it's got to that sort of stage (I'm talking where we can't start back up till after summer).

Can't very well be looking to start a new season in late November, it'd be far too compact (along with euros in summer).
For us, sure we could cut the split off next year etc, but other leagues don't have that same stupid rule.

EPL have apparently said they will be hit with a £1 billion pound claim if they null and void their season!

Club Brugge declared Belgian champions, they’re 15 points clear of Gent with 11 games left, a precedent has been set.

Belgium also has a split but a playoff type where the top sides play each other twice towards the end with 11 still to go..

Everywhere will be null and void but. Lol..

Aye the Belgian League is mental, do they not cut points off teams as well when they do their split?

The way they work it there as well currently Gent were only really 7 points behind as everyones points are halved after their split and theres 11 games to go.

Yes... just a matter of time before others do the same.... will be interesting to see how long the spfl hang on and how desperate the protestations from Hertz and Huns gets as it all plays out.

    Could be fun.

Was just reading, they are 15 ahead and come their split, they half the point difference and round to the next number up - so their point advantage going in to the split fixtures would be 8points with 10 games to play.

we are 13 clear - 10 if you just give the huns their game in hand - with 8 games to go.

They've also made sure they have set a precedent by announcing the Euro spots. SPFL and the huns will have a hard time trying not to award the title to us and yet still award us the champions league spot.

If the season can not be completed its the next step with the least minefields.

I can honestly say whole heartedly if the Huns were 13 points clear and the season was stopped and they were declared champions I would begrudgingly say fair enough.

If there was only 1 or 2 points in it I would see more of an issue.

    That’ll be a conservative estimate.

Like I keep saying, null and void is NOT going to happen.
