You both massively deserve a day off. Lovely the way you both raise the spirits of your mum and dad:49::60:
You also heavily deserve a couple of healthy glasses of Chardonnay while enjoying Netflix Susan:60::76:

This afternoon I finished my new Flower beds in which I dug up a section of my lawn edge. The Bees,Hoverflies,Butterfies will be pleased.
While doing this a big noise of a Rook chasing its much bigger cousin a Raven from the local Rookery over my house.
I could hear a drumming Woodpecker from the nearby Woods and a pair of Greenfinch popped in briefly. Linnet,Goldfinch,Long Tailed *,Herring Gull,Dunnock,Jackdaw,Nlue *,Great *,Starling,Collared Dove,Wood Pigeon,Carrion Crow,Magpie,Jackdaw And House Sparrow were all observed:84:

A cake you say? You could do two and leave the other in a central place for the wildlife regulars? What kinda cake we talking here? Coffee , red velvet? Would be a right nice thing to do in these troubled times :)

Right a look back at Two Sensational long walks that took place on this day in the past.
First up in this Post is on this day 6 years ago. Me and Jasmine Boxer did a 9.30am-6.00pm Hill walk from Kingussie and back.
First of not a cool Dipper on a small valley burn. Then numerous Red Grouse which Jasmine took real notice of. Then unreal prolonged views of an * Male Golden Eagle.
Half a dozen White Mountain Hares were a delight and yes Jasmine really wanted to play with them:49:
Red Deer were observed and good numbers of Golden Plover. Bumped in a Hillwalker and he told me had had never seen a Golden Eagle. Luck would have it as we were talking I spotted 2 2nd Year Golden Eagles, handed him my binocs and he lapped the glorious sight up.
2 Kestrels also were seen and a sighting of the Male * Golden Eagle again.
Back down the Glen 2 Red Throated Divers were on the Loch. A fine male Peregrine was seen on the cliff above the Loch.
On the way to the Pub a drumming Woodpecker was enjoyed behind Kingussie Tennis Club. And yes I enjoyed my pints.
Oh and at 2.30 this morning I enjoyed a 30 pound Boar Badger feeding in my Highland village garden.
I had a great day and so did Jasmine Boxer Of course:84:

Right another Classic outing from the Archives. This time a year today which was of course Ruby Roo’s 3rd Birthday:49:
Left Kingussie at 7am and off to the Glens we went.
On the way to a superb Big Glen that I call the Dome I got a Red Throated Diver on the Loch and good views of Wheatears and Stonechat were enjoyed.
Then at the Dome I got great views of a lekking Black Grouse,I could hear others. 2 more Black Grouse flew over me as we gained height. Then a superb calling female Merlin wizzed right past us.
At the top of the Glen with a Munro looking down on us a fantastic prolonged view of an * Golden Eagle was more than enjoyed:36:
Then back down to Newtonmore where we got a bus to kincraig and checked out Loch Insh where Ruby Roo enjoyed a splash:84:
At this location 6 Red Throated Divers were enjoyed, also a lucky drake Goosander and 2 females for company. Osprey,Sparrowhawk And Sand Martin were also noted.
We both had our lunch at Loch Insh then a bus back to Kingussie and onto the Typsy Laird we went for a pint of Stella,£4.20 but what the * it was lovely,I wrote out some postcards for Family and a birthday card for a nephew.
Then on to the Silverfjord Pub for several pints of Tennants. Then back to Kingussue cottage where me and Ruby had a Fine Local Butcher Steak each, and yes a bottle of Merlot rode Shotgun.
A great day it was of course.
