Sorry Jeannie I just couldn't help myself :54:

ps take an air rifle with you next time .. pigeon pie is supposedly ok :giggle1:

Try this one as the old ones are the best, topical as well ...

    In days of old,
    when men were bold,
    and paper was not invented,
    they dragged their *,
    across the grass,
    and walked away contented ..:smoke:

    I'll get my coat :giggle1:

I was working out and about on a bin lorry today , and I saw the following ; a few Pheasants , a pair of Oyster catchers , a Partridge , a Field Mouse and a group of 4 or 5 Roe Deer feeding in the distance . The weather was dull and damp the whole day .

They tame up pretty quickly. Went to centre parks a few years ago with my wife and daughter. A couple of them came mooching round every morning for some croissant.

Did not leave the house until 9.53am!!!!! Had a good few cans last night:56:Up at 7.30am but delayed by chores much to Ruby Roo’s annoyance. :67:

    Anyway not long back from
Fine Spring Walk and at last a saw one of local Green Woodpeckers. It called and flew right past me:36: Plenty of Great Spotted Woodpeckers around of course, busy drumming and calling.
Also a good few Blackcaps are singing in my patch now with plenty of Chiffchaffs. Nuthatches also are very vocal. 2 Jays landed right next to me but as soon as I raised my phone off they went:31:
We used to have the now very scarce to rare Lesser Spotted Woodpecker here back in the day,but now long gone.

I found my woodpecker video that I was banging on about the other day.

As long ago as 2016, which surprised me. I choose to believe that it's one of these two that's still visiting.

    ;)
