IMG_20200324_153853.jpg think this is a female bullfinch or a male chaffinch, but think she's a bullfinch cause of the black cap on her head

A "mixed bag" sighted today at work ; A Buzzard , a White Throated Dipper , a Red Squirrel , a Bee and a few Ladybirds . Yesterday morning when I left for work , it read 0 degrees Cel' on the car's thermometer . The windscreen ( and side windows ) was iced over . This morning it read 8.5 degrees , and 13.5 degrees on the drive home . Warmer weather coming in at last .

This morning on my local patch 20 or so Redwing passed through the Woodland, some singing as they get ready to return to much more Northern lands.
Also 15 or Meadow Pipit fed up getting ready for their journey to the Uplands.
The Green Woodpecker was still playing hide and seek laughing at me :56:

2 species of Butterfly noted,a local Female Sparrowhawk,a Great Spotted Woodpecker flew right past me and a Treecreeper noted.

The next 2 mornings surely will give me new Spring Migrants.

A bit of variety spotted at work today ; At 9.00 a.m. right in the town centre , I saw a Rat walk quite slowly along the pavement . It did the usual rodent trait of staying close to the wall , it came to a close and turned sharply around the corner and disappeared out of sight . It didn't look well though , as it had several bald patches , and it didn't move as quickly as a normal Rat . I also saw a pair of Oyster Catchers in a field , and a bush that had more than 10 Ladybirds moving around on it . A Bumblebee flew into our garage very briefly , and then just as quickly flew out again .

Not at all the camera is doing all the work Johnnie I'm on sports mode and I will make the leap to manual settings hopefully but in the meantime I'm learning bit by bit, to be honest you are my role model :50:

Thanks Sioux, I’m on the second module on my course now and it’s all about using the manual settings, although I’ve been using these for a while the course is showing how to use these in a more structured and creative way rather than winging it and hoping the image turns out ok, it’s a wee bit daunting at first but the more I study and read the course notes it’s starting to make sense.

Was it a big Effin bee?
