My GP surgery has texted me to ask me to be available between 11am today and 1pm for a phone consultation to discuss the current situation.

I expect to be told to self isolate for 12 weeks.

my employer has already put me on my notice so no doubt this one will end up in court.

they have refused to close or allow home working as they cannot guarantee we will actually “be working” as we cannot watch kids and work apparently!

    Poor from them.
No chance they've spoke to any sort of HR or lawyer on that advice.

My * is collapsing with my work now.
In my final week of notice period with new work at the local airport starting this coming weekend - which has training in Inverness.
All the ferry changes and hotel announcements isn't sounding good at all, no matter how much the new employer seem to be pushing forward.

Just hope they come to some sort of decision (if they are) sooner so I can beg for my old job for a bit longer...though they have no legal right to keep me, since staff are already cutting hours its a bit *.

    Sports Direct.

Think their staff are key workers because everyone wants to do home workouts and they sell gym kit.

    Unbelievable.

The Bosses of Sports Direct especially that greedy Fat Cat Mike Ashley.
Fancy asking if they can keep their hundreds of Stores open but then cancel the request only because they were warned of a backlash!!:31:

Told his workers to go take up the temporary jobs at Tesco and that would be half of the people he's left deep in the *.

100% this still won't make any difference to the popularity of Spoons. As long as it is cheap people will still flock there.

    Deplorable company.

Worked for them in the past, that doesn't surprise me at all.

Hopefully there's a widespread boycott after it re-opens. Guy is an utter *.

    The morning-telly *.

Pontificating about the importance of self isolation / essential working only, and calling out the twats who put us at risk for ignoring the health advice... and then they cut to their 'eye in the * sky' to show us the empty streets. Who knew that sending a helicopter crew out to film precisely *-all was an essential activity.

Hypocritical media * *... but we already knew that!

I get your point however the very last thing we need/want is to see the media getting closed down or restricted to any great degree. I for one am glad they are classified as an essential job.

Reporting - yes! But there is NOTHING essential about sending a helicopter out to film empty streets.

Putting aside the fact that a helicopter crew doesn't have the space required to distance themselves from each other, we also have to acknowledge that these aircraft sometimes fall out of the sky and cause carnage when they do... carnage that the nation REALLY could do without right now.

There's reporting and then there's padding out an existence. This falls into the latter category!

We all have to be sensible right now.

Amey - Grounds maintenance. Saying Grass cutting is a essential service. Also identifed the risk of people spreading the virus in close proximity by moving a guy from a van with a diabetic to my van.

Speaking to my Union as I think there making it up as they go along. Profit before lives is * deplorable.
