Not everywhere can be as salubrious as Glasgow.

First went to the Scotia many years ago when I first started going to pubs, my da took me in for first time. I still go in now and again. Upstairs was funny compared to downstairs last time I went. Loads of wee guys in trackies playing pool with tunes like Cascada etc playing.

Only pubs I really go to now up town are Waxy o Connors, Malone's, Connolly's, Scotia, Babbity Bowster, Mchuills, Maggie's, or sleazys if I'm up the other end. Lismore, Smiddy, the Rock if I'm in Partick area.

Now and again some pubs around Maryhill, Rams heid, and was in Punch Bowl few times with the Mrs recently. Pint of Tennents and a Voddy Coke 35ml for £4.50 lol

Kelly's Bar was the first pub I was allowed in when I was young. I thought I hit the big time, Drinking in the Town. I was cool. Good pub though, and if I remember rightly, it had a GREAT juke box. The one's with the 7" singles. Brilliant

My favourites were all the Celtic pubs when I lived there.

Can’t go wrong with malones. Also most in the merchant city... the bier cafe is good for a day out with the lads. Ahhh the memories :56:

That Kelly's under the bridge used to be good. Not been in since it relocated.

    St Vinnys is a cracker.

Cousin has played in both too.

Is that the one that's oNeils now? I mind sitting in there on and a guy at the table next to me did a full whitey down the site of his table but just carried on swallying.
It was a good pub mate, I used to get dragged there as a wean, left in the wee room with a packet of crisps.

The Carbeth Inn was an absolutely brilliant pub too. Before the drink drive laws came in, I remember on a Saturday getting driven up there and my folks sitting swallying and smoking all day, then driving home. Before drink driving was so frowned upon. Da must have gone through 20 pints and a few whiskys then drive back. Wish that was a joke.

MacConnells and Brazen Head both good celtic bars and has the pleasure to work in both.

McChuills is a decent boozer pre or post match. Seems to be struggling at present due to obvious reasons would not like to see it go under.

Hard to pick just the one. Really liked the Tolbooth the few times I’ve been in, nice Glesga boozer. Tennents bar has an unreal array of ales at a decent price. Where I’ve lived the last few years, my local has been Park Bar in Finnieston, run by these ones from Islay or Barra and is a lovely Authentic Scottish pub and plays live trad on a Saturday night as well as being a Sellick pub! Hard to choose though honestly.

Loved Finnegans Wake back in the day

O’Henrys and The Horseshoe were great, again back in the day as was the original McChuills Rulin Cowboy!

Don’t drink anymore and been away so long I’ve really no idea what the pubs are like in the city anymore.

Had some great nights in The Smiddy when Sam owned it and Jintys in Ashton Lane was fun.

    Showing my age I suppose!

Really love that place, would be a shame.I see they're doing sandwiches, soup and coffee etc just now, would gladly go there out my way to support them just as I would to get a pint or watch a game.

Nick the owner and the staff are all so sound as well.

Used to like the Chrystal Bell before the games. Good tunes and usually rammed and the food was decent and well priced for pub grub. A few of the Irish and English CSC’s used it.
