They stated on radio its because of touching/sweating on other players, then they players go home to their family,to which i agree.

But then why are we getting forced to go to work in a building with 500 people in it,and its ok....At the Moment?

And the cheek of Rooney to state that THEY are the test subjects.

Huns shouting for voiding this last year dont have a problem with doing so , that's only because they had 100 years voided and had to deal with it so 1 year is nothing to them .

Still seen by many as too risky.

So the result of the 2 meetings between UEFA member nations and the Premier League have been:

    1. we want to finish the season by June 30th

    2. We won’t be playing again until after the 30th April.

Cool guys. So, anyone got any idea what we’re actually gonna do? :39:

It doesn’t feel like either meeting actually made any progress in terms of how they’re going to achieve anything.

I imagine if FA's pushed for games to go ahead behind closed doors there will be many dissenting players. Not every player will happily put themselves and their families at risk. There would probably have to be some sort of disclaimer signed by players willing to play etc.

England seem committed to completing leagues even if it means a contracted 20/21 season ....

No reason why we should differ... well ok there is... but hopefully that club will be deid anyway.

Funny how the Huns gave categorically stayed their objections to closed doors fixtures... but were perfectly happy to go to Leverkusen and play in those circumstances.

At risk of what? You do realise people are still going to work? I’m at work, in an office of 70-100 people as we can’t work from home. They are being asked to run about a field for 90 minutes every few days. I’m at work for 8 hours a day 5 days a week.
This too risky stuff is pure and utter laziness.

Not saying it's right, just what I think will happen. Their PFA will be in their ear.

Killie player saying finish the games up to the split !

THAT is a solution that looks possible. Far from ideal but with so little time to complete games it may be worth looking at. No way are we finishing all league games before end June. Everybody would know what they have to do regards league position.

Then you will see who wants to play football and those who just want to void the league no matter what. I guarantee that the Huns and the Diets will ensure NO FOOTBALL is played. This league will not be completed by playing 38 games.

Most other clubs fans have been pretty quiet on this topic as most have little to gain or lose.. their season are pretty much over and i think most clubs will be focusing on how to get through this financially instead of worrying about the league ending.

There is no Win Win solution no matter what happens. Some will be left feeling hard done by and angry... so it might as well be the Huns since that has been their normal attitude sine 2012 ;-)

this has just been added to BBC site , dont know if its just a page filler

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51943346

Scottish clubs will discuss the financial impact of football's shutdown due to the coronavirus outbreak in a series of conference call meetings.

Some are in favour of ending the current campaign, with final-place monies being distributed.

However, it is unknown if sponsors and TV companies will be willing to pay out the full amounts at this time.

The potential for league reconstruction is on the agenda, with the possibility of expanding the top flight.

One option, which appears to have widespread support, is moving to three leagues of 14 from the current 12-10-10-10 set up, but any change would require 75% of clubs to vote in favour.

Hampden will host meetings on Thursday, with club representatives able to dial in and air their views.

The first meeting is due to start mid morning with administrative members of the SPFL in place at the home of Scottish football.

Senior figures in Scottish football will scrutinise the Coronavirus White Paper before deciding the way forward.

The Coronavirus Bill, which will contain emergency powers, is expected to be fast-tracked through Parliament next week.

With the season paused due to the outbreak, some clubs find themselves in a precarious financial situation - with Hearts asking players and staff to take a wage cut of 50% due to the financial impact and the authorities announcing £1.5m of funding for struggling clubs.

Partick Thistle and Raith Rovers have already appealed to their supporters for donations, with many other clubs internally discussing survival plans.

Cowdenbeath finance director David Allan has told BBC Scotland it is impossible to sell season tickets for next term given the uncertainty about when football will resume.

The chief executives of the Scottish FA and SPFL, Ian Maxwell and Neil Doncaster, spoke on Wednesday in the daily Joint Response Group meeting, but any firm announcement on the way forward is not likely this week and will heavily depend on the government legislation.

European governing body Uefa expressed a wish on Tuesday that domestic campaigns come to a close by the end of June, but there is no expectation among the hierarchy of the Scottish game that any professional football can be played before then.

This is despite the fact that Scotland's European championship play-off match against Israel has been provisionally rescheduled for the beginning of June, a move Maxwell described as 'unrealistic'.

I've already suggested that and it would be finished by end of April.

I agree. Teams could use their squad and youth players if needed. Won't happen now though would need to be end of June or beginning of July. Although a lot of people are still at work now they probably won't be for much longer going by what's happening in London.

Alisdair Lamont response to that article

"Despite many clubs wanting to know how this season would be concluded and a desire to discuss the below, the clubs we’ve spoken to say there was little new info. All seems to hinge on govt white paper/bill"

What is the bill hes reffering to and how would it help/not help the league start

I'm a little confused by the English approach to this, on the back of UEFA setting a deadline for the end of June.
We all know the English FA will have a massive sway over them, and we also know the English FA and clubs will think they are above UEFA, but surely if you are going to continue playing the league after UEFA deadline then you are running a massive risk that none of your clubs will be in a European tournament next year?

Will be interesting to see if UEFA stand firm on their June 30th deadline to complete the season, or if they now change their mind to accommodate the English in this.
Clear they will have been one of the nations not on board during that 55 FA video conference on Tuesday.
