    Finishing this season should take ultimate precedence rather than starting the next season, for me. Even if it meant that the new season couldn’t start until October or whatever.

    I definitely wouldn’t want us to call the league now and be crowned champions after 30 games. Also it would be scandalous to null and void the league as it is.

    It's fun and games now but imagine it goes on like this for 6 month+, no football, ufc, racing, basketball, snooker, rugby, cricket, tennis, boxing or nothing.

    I don’t think there’s too much of a congestion worry about completing the league if looked at independently of other competitions which probably won’t happen anyway....

    Depends on how long the shutdown lasts .... but .... if you assume the domestic league is priority and that all european fixtures are scrubbed...

    If matches resumed on 1st May .. At 2 games a week , There would be plenty time to get the league completed before end of May...

    There won’t be any euro 2020 so first week of June can be used for cup semis and final.

    Players are contracted until 9th June so there isn’t an issue there . Easy enough to delay start of next season anyway - scratch winter break or make it 7 days only.

    that’s based on a 6 week shutdown though...
    any more and it gets awkward.
