Great Versatility and cover for us. But over the last couple games he has merited the CB positions more than any of our CB's, in my opinion anyway!

He was good, but my only worry for him is how he deals with a team’s aerial threat. Not necessarily based on last night, but I think it’s an area that could be targeted.

Absolute player. Suits that role down to the ground. It's difficult to see how a fit Hatem comes in at his expense.

I'm still not convinced long term and I'm not even someone who has ever truly disliked him.

I'd feel more comfortable in us bringing in another CB. But he has played well of late theres absolutely no denying it.

His passing is and always has been tremendous.

    I agree, not long term

He's signed a new Co tract I'm. Sure so fine can cover, also good for slowing games down, but backs to the wall I don't think he's strong enough.

Last night I thought Ajer was the only. One with a bit of pace who could clear the danger when Dykes was running onto their long balls.

The guys best position is in defence as he does really well in there .
He worries me in midfield as he tends to look very leggy and cumbersome.

Brings a bit of composure to the defence..

When against better level European teams can struggle.

Proved himself a good option to have around.

Hatem can play LCB if Ajer is in need of a rest

People even forget he is not a CB. There are many cases when Brown needs a rest or is not playing well. We should really use Bitton in those situations

I don’t see that with him in mid. He certainly slows down play and that can be a bonus in certain games or particular scenarios but I think he orchestrates well from midfield and barely wastes the ball or stray pass. I think he gets a lot of unfair negativity. Certain players for Celtic down the years tend to get the same but others can get away with sloppy mistakes. Suppose it’s just football in general.

No, he is a CB now and shouldn't be used as a DM, slows the play too much, possibly if we're trying to close a game out, from the bench.

Best football played without Broonie last season was with McGregor as the deepest lying midfielder..

    Christie Ntcham

For me this is the future, with hopefully Soro making an impact too.

I would much rather see him in that defense back 3 than in midfield, way too one paced in midfield, would be ideal to put into midfield for a bit of game management if we were trying to see a game out.
He has been solid recently, way ahead of Joso right now.

We should probably be using the £2m CDM we just signed.

He plays far better with the game and ball in front of him, for that reason he's a much better CB than he is a CDM for us.

Once he's turned and facing his own goal then he's not at his best, he's slow over 5-10 yards and isn't aggressive enough to stick the boot in. How often do you see Bitton go to ground? Compare that with other good CDMS, either closer to home like Broony or in World Football like Kante.

At CB his composure on the ball and ability to pick passes is an asset, where it would be a hindrance in midfield when there's less time available.

We do absolutely need Broonie in some games tho, he is a massive part of our desire, but we do need to start planning for life without him. Hopefully get a look at Soro soon.

We don't but I can't blame anyone for feeling that way given his central role in so much success and his decline is gradual.
But hes very much no longer the 2016-18 Brown that we absolutely do need in the side for all our big games. What he contributes now shouldn't be the in the side at the expense of Christie or Ntcham.
Soro absolutely should be getting a look in too since it looks like Bittons future will continue at centre half.

Saying that, was it Bayern he was tremendous against?
