Will be in London this weekend, will watch Arsenal play Newcastle on Sunday, want to take in the sheep game earlier in the day and wondered if anyone has any recent experiences of watching Celtic in this area of London?

Years ago it was easy, lots of Irish places such as the 12 Pins at Finsbury Park that showed every Celtic game, haven’t been in that neck of the woods for a few years so wondered if anyone can point me in the direction of somewhere certain to have it on? :50:

Euston probably best bet and then Victoria line up to Arsenal.

Failing that loads of Irish bars in Kentish Town..

No doubt there will but in my experience most of them come and go and it's always a lottery if they still operate

Aye that's about right but ideally looking for something closer, certainly used to be places at Finsbury Park but as I said that's going back a few years.

The ones you mentioned are useful however and always worth falling back on if don't get something closer :50:

12 pins is still there and literally 2 minutes from their ground. Should have it on and would say safest bet before their game. Will be rammed with Arsenal fan's but you'll no doubt get a few in wanting us to win as well. I'm pretty sure on that by the way..

Used to work and see a lassie from Holloway Road and it was wall to wall Irish pubs all the way from Tommy Flynns to Archway. Used to always ask for our televised game's to be put on in the Marlborough Arm's up upper Holloway that way no problem down the back. Would swerve anywhere on Blackstock Road as Arsenal pubs only..

Basically you'd get it on a few places (Boston Arm's Tufnell Park) but 12 pins I'd say where you're no cutting it fine getting about..

I believe it was called the Finsbury Park Tavern before it became the 12 Pins and in those days it was certainly a big Celtic pub but London in general is unrecognisable from those days hence my thread but it’s good to know that is still a potential option as it is as you say it’s right by the tube and only about 10 mins from the old Highbury and if I remember rightly you walk past that infamous mosque where the guy with the hook used to have all his disciples sitting down blocking the road outside, once saw that myself and couldn’t believe what I was seeing :56:

..as there are no English games at 12 on tv I’d say that would make it pretty certain it will be on

Aye the mosque is still there and the Arsenal club shop is just past it as you walk to the 12 pins by the bus station outside Finsbury Park. You'll see untold tourists there with the club shop and the 12 pins will be heaving..

    Enjoy your day mate :50:

Aye indeed I got to see it in there no bother, did get heaving towards the end when the Villa-Spurs game was about to come on, not the most comfortable of watches this season but we got the 3 points and march on :50:
