Imagine we hadn’t shat it up in Inverness we’d be just about to win 10.

Never more apt and truer quote said than "be careful wot u wish for "to all the huns rejoicing at his announced return as manager , they wont be laughing no more, if , and I believe this for sure ,its driven an already fiercely competitive man even more to the brink of being able to smile smugly and congratulate his team as the best in the country, and be able to finally relax after, and really be able to enjoy the success and their pain by the bucket load , it's so close you can taste the salt .

That was my first season going to the football with my pals.

Felt like we won the league that day. Place was bouncing. The scum were 3-0 up in 15 minutes vs the Ayrshire mob without a bus fare, all too predictable. Something inside so strong blaring through the speakers before the game, Lennon speech at the end.

Looking back, we definitely won that day. Start of one of the best eras in our clubs history.

Stadium was packed to the rafters and bouncing despite losing the league.

Think everyone walked away feeling very positive that day

This has actually been shortened. I was there and the full quote, for anyone that wasn’t there:

‘This isn’t the end. Rangers are being run by morons, living on borrowed time will be dead this time next year. A tribute act will no doubt arise but I predict they will be run by an incompetent corrupt * from South Africa and will amount to nothing. Furthermore we have some fantastic prospects coming through the youth academy, plans for disco lights, the whole lot. This is just the beginning.’

Exactly this, there was a special and united feeling around the club, that day. Full stadium huddle was unreal.

Or if big sammy had let commons take the penalty at Ibrox in the 0-0 game that would have gave us a lead even allowing for Caley pumping us!

To this day the proudest I've felt to be a Celtic supporter. What we experienced that day was unique and you would struggle to see replicated at any club, anywhere, where a league title had gone after 15 mins.

    Pips Seville for me.

He's a fantastic manager and a giant of a man. Every bit as good a manager as Brendan Rodgers. Mr Celtic. We're really lucky to have Lennon.

I genuinely think in 50 years time he will still be talked about by fans. A fan, a player, a captain, a manager and a star. Lenny is part of Celtic, not just an employee. It's amazing we have people like Brown, McGregor, Lenny and Forrest at the club at the same time. All future club legends. It's what Celtic had in the 60s.

Tommy Burns is known as Mr.Celtic, but I think it’s appropriate for Neil too.

Tommy is a legend too, hopefully Celtic make sure his work is known for decades to come. His deeds aren't as transparent to the public. He only won 1 trophy as manager but I remember him more for rebuilding whar was a very poor Celtic team. Then later on developing our youth department which saw us bring players like Jamesy, KT and McGregor and still has future prospects coming in.

Aye, should really rename Lennoxtown after him imo. He was the first Celtic manager I knew and he was always a gentleman to the support.

Goosebumps man, hairs are literally standing on end.

Said it before in other threads over the years, but three lads sat in front of us left after they heard the huns were 2 or 3 up. They missed being part of something very very special that day.

One of my favourite quotes is Martin O'Neill saying "I will do everything I can to bring some success to this football club". Well not only did he bring success, but reset and raised the standard that we work towards now.

20 years of success and dominance in the last 10, started by MON to be finished by Lenny, in rather spectacular fashion. HWG10IAR :62:

He did leave though. And he will again.

That’s not his fault, I believe that’s a higher power.
