Just think it will depend on the opposition.
Just cannot see us using this 3 5 2 in Europe and what about the Huns?
Right now, the balance of that 352 is not perfect-Forrest is decent at tracking back but that's it defensively, no good tackling but great going forward. Taylor is sound defensively but limited going forward.
But certainly against the dross, 3 5 2 is the way forward.

It's great to see him back in the side and showing himself as a real option.

Some of his touches/finishing have been a bit erratic, but you'd hope that will come back as he gets back into the swing of it. 4 goals in 6 games is a decent return, and his general play has been very good. His movement and instincts are there for all to see, as is his willingness to put in a shift for the team.

I've heard/read a lot of people saying the partnership isn't really working, but I think it's been pretty good so far. The little overs, running off each other, playing one-twos and looking for runners - it's what you'd want to see from a front two. And they're both scoring and assisting, so long may it continue.

The partnership has been blossoming, imo.

Back on form and banging in the goals. Looks like Griffiths is making you look a '*', just the same as Neil Lennon has done! You're not the brightest are you.

Regarding using the formation against the Huns, certainly something I’ve been thinking about a lot lately. On the one hand, we shouldn’t be curtailing our strengths for anyone in Scotland and the best way to beat they * is to take the game to them. It would be incredibly harsh on Griffiths if he was to keep up this form but dropped for it. Moreover, playing the 3 in the middle would checkmate the Huns 3 which we’ve struggled with lately.

On the other hand, our naivety and lack of concentration at the back could be punished by a better attack and Huns have the players to do it.

Purely regarding Griffiths, one thing to remember is that with him playing the now, it’s given Eddy another lease of life.

I was his biggest critic for a while, I thought he was very wasteful and it would make games harder he would get a goal eventually but in the process missed many sitters, but he has changed his game up and being more versatile and I really like what I see, some great link up play and movement off the ball.

we have been crying out for 2 strikers for years now.

Might be a good call to go 442 against Huns? We would be solid at the back, not over run in midfield and have the 2 boys up top. Would mean Forrest missing out and his most telling contribution always come late on, so ideal to spring him

I’d be very surprised if Lennon opted for a formation we haven’t been played plus they’d still have an extra man in the middle should they stick to the same system.

    Maybe go with a 4-3-1-2?

    Forster

    Frimpong
    Julien
    Ajer
    Taylor

    Christie
    Brown
    McGregor

    Ntcham

    Griff
    Eddy

Lacks width, but full backs could get away with bombing forward, I reckon.

If in doubt leave him out.

We have enough talent available that we should be able to cope without rushing him back.

Should really have had a hattrick today.. fluffed a one on one and the Killie keeper made a excellent save late in the game to deny Griff his second..

His shooting was poor a few times today, but he’s just back from a knock and still scored, so we can forgive him lol.

took his goal well, unfortunate not to get two cause i'm not sure Taylor was offside in the build up to the one that was disallowed.

He does deserve some praise given how he’s played since his return, and his contribution in improving our position.
