    I understand in some regards that parenting can be blamed but kids just don't have the awareness to realise how nasty they can be. Most of us, when we were young, probably said things to folk that were, unbeknown to us, very hurtful to other kids and adults.

    I know I could be a wee * when I was younger and looking back it's embarrassing and deeply regretful. But it was in no way down to my parents.

    Thankfully most of us grow up and realise right from wrong. Unfortunately, some don't.

    Start with the elderly? I find them to be one of, if not, the most intolerant groups in society. Respect is a two way street.

    Well they are always the first group that are made targets when it comes to assault, burglary or robbery. Often the family falls away from visiting or including the older generations in Celebrations etc. Years ago we went out of our way to do odd jobs or running to the shops. We looked up to them as the heads of the family but now that is a rarity and not much people give two *. Add into the factor age discrimination and it’s no wonder they have their backs up. They are struggling to adopt and survive in a fast changing world that is totally alien to them. Your outlook on it is probably one of the factors of isolating them. “They aren’t approachable so why should I be?” We will go round in circles with this attitude.

    I wont watch that , yes im a coward . My heart goes out to him and his family , as some people on here know we have daily/weekly contact with kids and young adults who have varying types of disabilities , they are an inspiration and all they want is to be accepted for who they are .
