I’m still not sure about that mate, Christie’s performance against Liepzig or the hat trick he scored first day of the season is just something we don’t see from Ntcham.

Ntcham is a very talented player but so is Christie. The one big point Ntcham has over Christie is his vision, Christie’s massive plus is goalscoring prowess and work rate.

Two very good players, both at their very best, it’s * close. Ntcham at his very best just looks a lot * classier.

They've got skill sets that would complement each other really well. Would really enjoy seeing a three with McGregor quarter-backing from deep, ntcham linking and Christie given license to get forward at will.

Just the idea that we don't play that midfield 3 because Broonys presence is so huge emphasises the fact we have the best midfield in Scotland by a mile and have done for the whole of 8iar.

It's a midfield three I would love to see, and to be honest against Clyde, Hamilton, at Johnston etc, we should be using those three. Specially if playing a 4231.
Brown is 34. He has shown he has massive dips in form, equally massively shown he can bounce back and be a massive influence. No doubt about it. But as he gets older, it can only be assumed that those dips are going to come quicker and for longer. In two years he is gonna be 36 and absolutely massive credit to brown, but we should not be relying on a 36 year old to get us through a season, so for that we need to really start developing the game to play without him.

Folk counter by saying we are a better team with him in it (when on form) but that's not gonna help long term if we are too scared to try playing some games without him.

I’d swap Christie and Ntcham in that, similar to how we played with they two and Rogic

At his best, Ntcham oozes class and looks so * silky mate, agreed

Gun to the head and its Christie for me though, again at their best. Although Ryan has been off it recently

Completely agree mate, on paper I think our best XI doesn't include Broony but he brings invaluable experience, organisation and winning mentality. He's a leader and they're are a lot rarer than talented young players.

We could probably play those 3 in midfield and demolish teams regularly but the games where we're not at it and under the cosh we rely on Brown to hold the fort. Hopefully Soro can bring some of that defensive cover for the backline but we will struggle to replace Broony's presence long term.

I really think Brown will be here after Ntcham is. So by that logic, why play Ntcham?

Think Eddy’s leaving in the summer by all accounts, so should we be preparing just now for life without him and have Klimala and Griff up top? Play the best team.

By the logic of your first line, then we should be playing klimala ahead of Édouard.

As for your second line, yes we should be preparing and that's why klimala should be getting more time on the pitch, be it alongside Griffith or Édouard.

Like the training chat, this isn't a simple one rule fits all either.

Absolutely not saying brown should be dropped or never played again, but we should have been looking at a game like Clyde and playing a different midfield that can learn to play without brown in it.
Be that ntcham, McGregor, Christie, or any combination of the younger fringe guys as well.

Sheer class, that bit in the 2nd half were he took it I can't even mind what it was he done now then the wee flick up the line to Forrest.

Technically superb, needs to calm his shooting though blasts every one like Morelos when he has the technique and class to place them like big Eddy.

Funny enough, after the worst first touch I’ve ever seen him take :56:

Have to confess, so far I've never really taken to him and been very critical. Portion of humble pie could be on the menu.
