Was always gonna be the problem. Been injured a lot here and some really long term one's..

 

NL on Nir Bitton: “He had a scan yesterday so should hopefully be a couple of weeks."

 

That is good news. I feared the worst when I saw him holding his hamstring the way he was.

 

I think he's good around the team as he can slow a game down, and also move the ball about. Useful for Scotland and maybe to take the pace out of games in Europe, but don't fancy him if it's a backs to the wall game.

 

That just about sums him up

 

Situational player and if used in the right games he can be an outstanding option. Not to forget, he's one of the most confident players you'll see walk on a pitch, be it in midfield or in defence.

Shame about the injury situation but never one to blame the player, it seems we've always got a raft out with one thing or another. Pushed too hard or * conditioning coaching? * knows!

 

He's not a midfielder these days.. Supposed to be this calming influence when he comes on and will slow everything down, but did the opposite tonight, lost the ball pretty much every time he had it.

If broony doesn't make it next week bitton absolutely cannot be his replacement.

 

His lack of mobility is frightening in there..

So easily skipped by and exposed..

Really need Soro to come in and be class for when Broony is out as I don't want to see Bitton there..

 

Aye he's a 4th/5th choice centre half at best who could do a job if we were absolutely desperate in midfield against run of the mill dross. At this level he's nowhere near it.

As poor a 20 minute cameo I can remember to be honest. Id of had rogic on instead of him.

 

Keep him well away from midfield, had no anticipation in that role. Two times players ran at him at speed and he stood like a statue and never got moving into their path until it was too late.

I like him at the back but he shouldn't be trusted in midfield although we were limited tonight as I didn't lke the idea of Christie on a booking going back and Rogic coming on as we were under pressure then and bringing on Rogic would have just hampered us as well and killed off any chance of a counter.

 

Was not ready for a game like that , but usually very dependable .

 

Should have been on from the start as part of a bck 3

He was, the players looked tired today and he calmed everything down clearing up with no fuss

 

Aye was brilliant read everything, thought they were all good at the back.

 

Really can't fault him.

Agree MOTM , keeps this form hes 2nd CB for me , love Ajer but been sloppy

 

Easily ahead of Jozo for me, considering it's a plastic pitch next too he'll start again.
