Would rather spend 9 million elsewhere.

Out of simple interest, where would you spend £9m?

He could play just behind Edouard in a slightly less attacking 3-5-2

    Forster
    Elhamed Julien Ajer
    Frimpong Brown McGregor Bolingoli
    Christie Elyoynoussi
    Edouard

That could work and would have 2 options in the WB positions with Forrest and Taylor. A bit harsh on Griff as he's been linking up well with Eddy. We've got so many options now - good position to be in.

I'd be offering SOuthampton * all for Forster. They have two GKs in front of him and if they want his £60k a week of their wage bill, give us him for free and we can pay him a large signing on bonus and keep him within our structure. On the Elyounoussi situation, I thought he would be going for substantially more than £9m so if that is all he's valued at by them, we should be making that permanent.

Think we'd be better off getting in a good centre back or a left back.

When Eddie goes for £50m we can get both, Elyounoussi & a £10m striker.

He realistically wouldn't be injured/coming back from injury at the moment either if he wasnt thrown into the cup final XI

If our club has any ambition of doing anything in Europe and doing the 10 we must keep Edouard for a couple of years at least.

We should be in a position to do a deal with Saints for both, maybe max 15M for both.
Given the choice, I would go for FF, still think if we had him in for CL games, we would have qualified.

If Ely does go back to Saints, then we are back to square one with the left wing position.
This is a position we need to sort and should be aiming to spend 10M.
This guy has demonstrated that he is up to the required standard, so its, for me, a no brainer and there would be no settling in period.
He also does have that versatility, which could see him in the No 10 role.

We will not be getting in Forster, Elyanoussi and a decent striker. If I could chop 1 it would be Elyounoussi as a good striker and good keeper has kept us in every competition.

In an ideal world, I would agree.

Edouard will have ambitions to break into the World Cup winning France squad and in my opinion he's not a million miles off it, despite the embarrassment of riches they have up front.

He will be expected to move to one of the Top 4 leagues to test himself against better defenders on a regular basis to show why he should be picked. The truth is, Eddie can pick his next club.

He could go to a Manchester United or Chelsea no bother...infact he'd become their best striker if he signed for either.

When players get to that level it is impossible for us to hold onto them; as much as that is annoying.

It's part of how we attract these players. Give them a platform to develop, get regular games and 2-3 years in, we sell them on and the club gets a big payday.

I fully expect Édouard to go in the summer, people need to start accepting that likely outcome. Anything else would be an unbelievable bonus for us.

He's a more complete player at his age than Van Dijk was and he's now the best CB in the world and a bawhair away from collecting a Ballon D'Or....that says it all.

Tbh I can see us losing Edouard, if not no striker required.

I'd flog Ntcham in the summer, think he'll go anyway, that will easily cover one of them, and probably have change for another. Actually I'd add Wanyama to that too. There's a * load of players leaving possibly at end of seasosn and some big earners (not even counting Sinclair).

How long has he been injured?

This will be like a new signing again.
