    'Managed' is subjective.

Even Bitton is nowhere near the standard we require for a DM/CM, he's far too slow and it was shown up against extremely average (being kind to them) players such as Holt, Ball and Law in the 2016 League Cup Semi Final.

Both could maybe 'do a job' against the lesser sides in the league or cup ties but as a long-term replacement then I wouldn't be keen.

If Soro turns out to be the Kante-esque player that his highlights and interviews suggest he might be then I'd say that's what we're looking for. Energetic, mobile, tenacious and quickly recycling the ball.

And on the cusp of 9 it is certainly not the time to persist with him. Potential counts for little in the here and now.

El Hamed goes straight in for him when available

Ajer has looked better at right back than centre half this season.

On the ball he was a joke of a footballer.

I'm right footed and I actually enjoyed playing on the left of centre at the back. The majority of his play will actually be a right footed pass out to the left wing which is actually an easier ball to play across yourself rather than having to open your body to play with your left foot. And if you receive it back from the left wing/back side you are more naturally positioned to control it with your stronger foot.

This might sound really stupid to some but there you go

He and Jullien are our first choice centre back pairing for the rest of the league campaign, one other will play beside them in a 3.

Suggesting dropping him for anyone considering the options we have, particularly now, is laughable.

Your right, but therein lies the problem, both have no competition.
They just need to cut out these basic errors.
Maybe ElHam in a back 3 would steady them.

Was the same with Virgil. He is super comfortable on the left side of defence..

Barely see him using his left foot as well..

Ajer deffo looks uncomfortable when dragged out wide though on the left but when he has the ball....He comes out with it like Virgil..

I was also right footed and much preferred playing left full back to right..

He's not progressing this season as quickly as I thought he would, however his "bad form" is being greatly exaggerated imo.

His good games get brushed under the carpet, and whenever the he makes the odd mistake it's "he needs dropped"

    Give the lad time

    This isn't a surprise how he's playing..

He's been a disgrace. Him and Jozo are appalling defensively..

I'd go to 4 at the back and get him or Jozo to *, it would be a toss up between who is less * though.

Needs to get a grip of himself defensively and learn how to head a ball.

    Been very poor of late.

I don't think he's a centre back. If we got offered decent money in the summer I would take it. I think he could do a job in midfield though.

You know there is a good player in there but I wonder if him basically being undroppable is a pain to us. If a player feels they have no competition surely they just don't feel it mentally.
