Atsu's a terrible player too, abysmal scouting if he was our first choice.

We needed someone to be there while Elyounoussi gets fit, he would have done for that.

A CB you say? When was the last time we had a settled CB partnership that was A: decent B: ours outright?
Dicing with death this time Pedro. With unmitigated success comes expectation.

So why the furore to sign another CB? Not having a go, as I agree. Folk are * harsh on Ajer, guy is a rookie that has played CB for what, 3 years?
Leicester sniffing....no less than 20m...who we signing that’s going to be better than one one of the brightest modern CB talents in Europe?

My reasoning behind wanting another CB was due to Jozo, Bitton and Elhamed already having had multiple injuries this season, thus making them unreliable backup options, for me.

Chances are Jullien or Ajer will pick up a knock somewhere along the line and I don’t feel comfortable with just those three as backup given their injury records so far.

Lennon also wants us to play 352 but we can’t if we only have Jullien and Ajer available to play.

Fair enough but we now have multiple full backs on the books, just in time to go 3-5-2. Which was rarely tried when we were short of full backs for what seemed like a * age. Struggling to get my head round it tbh

I dont know why people are surprised by this. Its like watching Titanic and expecting the boat not to sink.

All this talk about we having so much money to bury them...I don't know at this point whether there is money. Hotel and museum not being built. TV screen not being built. No real modernisations of the stadium in sight and certainly no * money spent on a team. How is it possible that Rangers are so skint yet they arguably bring better players this window? Kamberi is defo better SPFL standard to Klimala (as of now, he is ready to go) while Soro and Hagi seems more or less the same price range. Yes, I know they loaned them but still THEY were the ones who strenghten...

Kamberi better than Klimala? What do you base that on?

Some very Strange & incorrect comments in this thread.

I understand people getting a tiny tiny bit nervous but * me, some are rewriting things as if we have signed no one this window.

Kamberi did great for Hibs for a long time. Klimala had a decent half of a season at Jaga. I watch Ekstraklasa a lot so I've seen them both play. Klimala will need time to settle and develop while Kamberi is ready to go.
