    ‘We are trying’ would have been a more factual statement than ‘we want a couple in to train with us in Dubai’ TBF.

    I know we all expected it but it shouldn’t be like that. And we all know the excuses over the next fortnight as well. ‘We tried but nothing fitted’ ‘clubs don’t want to sell in January’ ‘fees and wages for the quality we require were unrealistic’ wash, rinse, repeat.

    I think with Sporar if we're looking to him as Eddie's replacement long term then €8m is what, £6.5m? Not bad considering he got 6 goals and 2 assists in EL group stages. Must have something about him.

    Considering Lyon want €100m for Dembele I don't think it's a ridiculous sum for a goalscorer at our level really.

    I was astonished to read this * is on 67 grand a week at celtic … let that sink in .

    He is not on £67k a week that’s downright false and lies for whoever told you that.

    he is on approx £22,700 per week with a bonus every few years.

    I get a bonus 3 times per financial year but if someone asks me I don’t say I am on £50k a year I am on £40k a year a bonus is what it is a bonus it isn’t guaranteed, although the LTIP is heavily in his favour and more likely to be paid during every cycle than not.
