No wonder Tim Williamson knocked back the top job at Man Utd!

Mental that we played elyounoussi in the cup final, was clearly nowhere near recovered from the injury, we really need back up for the wings this window.

We seem to still be using Rodgers training methods etc. Running players into the ground.
Was confused when I heard of intense training over in Dubai.
I thought it would make more sense for the majority of the squad to be doing rest, recovery and maintenance work.

Double sessions of intense training when some of our player's have played the most football in Europe and our squad is dead on it's feet..

    Bizzare..

We’re clearly being players back too early the way they’re breaking down with the same injury as soon as they’re ‘fit’.

Aye it doesn't make any sense.
Recovery is so important not only physically but mentally.
Just some light training and doing training the players enjoy. You don't lose fitness
Over a couple of weeks especially if you're doing light sessions to maintain.

    * intense training and bleep tests defeats the purpose of the break.
They looked * the full of December and that type of training won't help.

Celtic have been dealt a fresh injury blow over key defender Hatem Abd Elhamed.

The Israeli international has been absent for the past two months after sustaining a groin injury in Rome when Celtic defeated Lazio to book their spot in the last 32 of the Europa League.

Elhamed worked through his rehabilitation to rejoin the group for training at their mid-season camp in Dubai.

However, the 28-year-old has suffered a setback in his comeback bid after manager Neil Lennon confirmed the stopper has a fresh issue.

The Celtic boss said: “Elhamed still has a bit of a groin problem. It’s not long term, but it could be a few weeks.

“He sort of jolted his groin and got a reaction. It’s actually not the same injury. It’s lower down. Maybe a couple of weeks.

“He’s been brilliant for me and it’s a bit of a blow, but there’s nothing I can do about it. We have to be patient with it.”

Lennon also revealed that winger Mikey Johnston has also had a scan on a thigh problem and could be facing a couple of weeks on the sidelines.

However, in better news for the champions, Mohamed Elyounoussi is onto the next stage of his comeback from a foot injury.

he Norwegian international had protective casting around the damaged area, but Lennon explained: “Elyounoussi is out of the boot now and may train at the start of next week.”

Lennon also issued a bulletin on Australian star Tom Rogic and added: “He is doing gym work, core work. He could train next week.”

This thread will be busier than the * transfer section by the looks of it.

Elhamed breaks my heart. I had all the faith in the world on him bouncing back and helping us kick on but that is disappointing to see that he's got another injury. Lenny says he'll only be out for a couple of weeks, but how long will it take him to get back to full fitness and match ready?

That’s why I said we needed to keep Bauer till summer Elhamed injury history is abysmal.

I don’t actually think he has ever been fully fit since he signed and I know a player is never “fully fit” in scientific terms but * *!

Will Ajer and Forrest be back for Kilmarnock?

Jozo not being able to play on plastic might mean Jules and Broony at CB.

Cheers bud, that’s good news at least.

Looks like we’ll be playing the same shape again at Kilmarnock then.
