Typical that we let this materialise into a tug of war between a number of clubs despite being first to the party.

Hopefully the news of Sporting being interested will accelerate our efforts to sign him.

It’s not a back up though, it’s quality to compete with Edouard, and/or be ready for if/when he leaves.

Loans are no use. I actually think we need 2 strikers, - as far as I’m concerned we only have one we can rely on, Griffiths and Bayo simply can’t be relied upon.

Odsonne has also made it clear that if he’s still here in the summer he playing for France at the Olympics meaning he’s gone until August and missing our Euro qualifiers.

This month is huge, and Lawwell, Lennon, and Nick Hammond have known this/had time to prepare for it. It doesn’t make it easy, but that’s their job.

There must be a wee bit of patience, it’s very early in the window..

Apparently Lenny's face with a giveaway with the Polish boy but then he comes out and doesn't even mention our name as being interested..

I'm baffed..

See a few quick glimpses of the Pole and he looks very quick and shows some clever movement..

Watched a couple of brief things on him in the KDS transfer thread and he deffo looks rapid and clever with the tiny bit they stuck up..

I wouldn't mind him if he was coming alongside a Sporar or Kadewere as you say. I'm definitely sceptical that he's cost 3.5/4 mill considering he's hardly played and from the Polish league. To put it in perspective Legia sold their main man in sure for 900 grand to Barnsley or were about to in between European qualifiers. Just looked again they were hijacked by Dinamo Zagreb....doesn't say how much but I bet it wasn't over 2 mill and he's a Croatian young international as well..

Would take the chance if we've done our homework. Seems a few other European side's have also so he must be decent....but would like a more polished replacement for Eddy primarily, without doubt..
