This bdo stuff is poison. You can see why so few tickets have been sold

Its also not helped by the unbelievably bad camera work. Its terrible viewing, camera is bouncing all over the board and constantly manages to be focused on the wrong doubles and trebles. It's like they let a blind monkey produce it.

100% correct !! Very poor coverage and just a terrible atmosphere from the audience.

The BDO didn't get much of a mention in here but I thoroughly enjoyed however much I watched. Some really good games, not least of which tonight's final. Mitchell vs Waites was a cracker in the last 8 as well.

Standard was baws, entire setup was baws, crowd was baws.

Only thing it had doing for it was at least it was darts on the telly.

It was an awful decision to leave lakeside but there were some good games and the final was an absolute cracker.

It was dramatic but they tried to make out as if they were playing cosmic darts and there was relentless scoring, both were averaging low 90’s which would have struggled to win any sort of game in the PDC.

Over the course of 11 sets averages will always dip. They were both averaging over 100 for the first 2 or 3 sets. Warren finished up on a 94 average with Williams on 95.

The PDC semi-finals averages were: 96 (MVG), 92 (Aspinall), 98 (Wright) and 90 (Price). A mean average of 94

The mean average in the QFs of the PDC was about 96.5.

The mean average in the last 16 was about 94.

Not 'cosmic' darts in the BDO final but certainly higher-end PDC standard. Either of those lads, playing like they did last night, could have reached in or around the PDC last 16/8/4.

94.53 and 93.59 were their averages.

102.79 and 102.88 were the averages in the PDC Final.

    A distinct drop in quality.

I'm not comparing the finals, that would be ridiculous. I'm comparing it to the PDC semis and quarters where their averages very may well have been winning ones.

Both BDO final averages lower than MVG and Wrights in the semis, MVG in particular playing his C game at best as well. Wright hit 16 x 180’s

    Standard is miles lower.

I'm not comparing them to Wright and MVG who are, as you say, on a different level. Again, look at the mean averages I pointed out. The standard is nowhere near 'miles lower'. Durrant, Aspinall, Price, Van Den Burgh and Labanauskas were all knocked out with 94, 92, 90, 91 and 90 averages. 3 in the QFs and 2 in the Semis.

2 semi final PDC averages were 92.04 and 89.94.

Waites was beaten in the BDO Quarter finals with a 93.85 average.

By the way, Williams hit 15 180s in the Final. Warren did the same in the semis. Not far off Wright's 16.

    I have a PDC related question !

What happened to Waynes T-Shirt competition for best costume and what happened to the walk on girls ?

They were both part of the fun.

T shirt competition is still going on.. they got rid of walk on girls, bending to the PC brigade. There's still scantily clad dancers on stage though :50:

Ahh ok I must have missed the t-shirt stuff somehow, bit of a bummer with the walk on girls tho * PC brigade just made some people unemployed becase of that arttitude, also if the girs felt that way they wouldn't have done it themselves. Yeah I saw they still had the dancers.
