He did well, I didn't know what kind of player he was but seems a McGregor type, very comfortable receiving the ball and keeping the play moving with crisp passing.

Composed and mature debut as Lenny says.

For those who are in love.....
    He was excellent..

Lovely left foot and really composed under pressure..

Can see the things he has to work on like runner's off him and strength but that's to be expected with an 18 year old making his first start..

He could easily slot in for some home game's when we need to rest a McGregor for example..

    Very promising..

I missed most the game, but the bits I did see, he looks like he has something to be developed with.
Hopefully see a bit more of him in the second half of the season.

Looks quite tidy and he's a big lad so hopefully he'll continue to develop well. Wasn't put under much pressure tonight but nice and steady, especially for a young guy on his debut.

He kept it very simple. Good for him to get game time and confidence will build the more he gets :50:

Only seen wee bits of the game tonight, but looked tidy. Decent debut.

Always a temptation to over impress on a debut, but thought he looked calm and composed.

Good to see him get given a chance, even though the game was meaningless to us in real terms, it's still good experience.

From his first involvement his confidence stood out. Took the ball deep under pressure let it roll across him and went by a * and played it forward to Johnston.

He’s some * size compared to last season :giggle1:

Great to see young lad like him get an opportunity and he took it. Showed plenty of promise. Steady game at this level on his debut is all that was ever required from him

Tight league this year may see his opportunity for first team games very limited. However, it also struck me that i have not seen a youngster get any minutes across the city. Not even their bench has youngsters coming through

Lenny played it smart and looks like this kid is there on merit

But one of the few positives in Romania was an impressive debut from youngster
    Scott Robertson.

The 18-year-old midfielder turned in a composed and controlled display and insists his promotion into the first team wasn’t about him being fast-tracked ahead of time.

He said: “I don’t really think I’m ahead of schedule. I always hoped I would be playing in the first team at an early age.

“I’m 18, it’s not really that young. You see boys down in England getting their debut and playing in Europe so it was good for me to do that as well.

“It was brilliant. It’s good to eventually get out there.

I found out I was playing around lunchtime on Wednesday and I was really excited to get out there.

“I say this to everyone, it’s the intensity that’s the difference when you play with the first team or even train with them.

“It’s just so much higher than what you get when you are playing against younger people when you are playing against men.

“I didn’t have a sleepless night, I was actually alright. It was more excitement than nerves to
    be honest.

“The team just got put up on the projector and I saw my name there. I was a bit taken aback by it, I wasn’t expecting it at all.

“I told my parents I was starting at about three o’clock on Wednesday. I texted my dad and they were buzzing for me.”

Unfortunately didn't see the game but he would solve the issue of bringing in a cdm and anytime we can bring in the required standard from academy rather than a transfer it is a unreal achievement.
