Won’t be wholesale changes, we’ve too much momentum off the back of the last 3 performances.

Think he’ll change things a bit though, seems like the ideal opportunity to get some rest for the likes of Calmac.

Can't be complacent or not respect st mirren but we should really be putting trust in our squad. I'd like to see bayo, shved and frimpong start, I'd like to see edoaurd McGregor, Forrest and one of jullien or ajer rested. And I'd like a couple of okoflex dembele O'Connor afolabi feature on bench even if they didn't get on.

You know we’ll only make one or two changes now.

    Team should be something like

    Forster

    Frimpong Elhamed Ajer Taylor

    Bitton Christie

    Forrest Rogic Elyounoussi

    Bayo

Just make a couple of changes but want a lot of goals scored.
Last 2 home matches against them were 4-0 and 4-1

We’ve been guilty in the past of becoming overconfident after good results and wasting time in games. We need to make sure we start at a high tempo and maintain throughout.

Lennon also needs to find a way to rest players. I would say Forrest badly needs a rest to get back to his best so that would be the main one for me.

I’m not sure we can rest Edouard. He’s so critical to how we play and right now Bayo doesn’t look up to the job.

We rested Edouard v Partick Thistle and won 5-0 with Bayo getting a goal & assist and also v Hearts were Bayo was right in the mix of 2 goals in a 3-1 win.

Sure, and it is only St. Mirren I suppose, who are only marginally better than both those two sides, so obviously we should be okay.

But I do still think Eddy is such a big part of how we play, especially when teams park the bus. With Bayo, even in those games you mentioned, his contribution is much more in the air which I think some Scottish teams can nullify quite easily. We need the ball on the deck.

Big chance for Bayo to show something different if he does play on Wednesday.

Definitely an ideal time to rest the likes of McGregor, Brown and Edouard with the semi final and lazio away next week

Fair point and Eddy can unlock packed defences but equally he can get crowded out doing that too. If you play Bayo up top you can swing crosses into the area and he will attack them all day long, just as he did v Partick. Also with him being in the box and causing the defence to drop deeper, it should mean there's a little extra space & time at the edge of the area for the likes of Christie, Elyounouissi and Rogic to have a pop. There's more than one way to skin a cat.

The reality is Eddy is not going to be able to play every single game for us this season, we have to use him selectively.

I'd rather we used the squad against teams like St Mirren rather than run them into the ground like Rodgers did with Tierney and McGregor, which would result in us potentially not having Eddy for big games. He's crucial to our success this season, we've got to be clever.

I'm astonished at St Mirren's goals for and against in all competitions this season, that's 14 games

    Scored 9
    Conceded 13

They are no mugs but being at home I expect a convincing pumping. Geez it.

Good game for a few changes I think Karamoko is fit give him a run out on right if not maybe Hayes as Forrest needs a break.

Edit: Sinclair up top instead of Bayo. Hayes in at LW.

Good game on paper after Lazio and Aberdeen away although Sunday wouldn’t have taken as much out of us as we thought before hand.

Hopefully a few goals and clean sheet and no injury’s before a massive game on Saturday then away in Europe 8 days later.
