I really can't see any way we will make it permanent unfortunately.

Didnt have much to do but theres definitely a calmness back there. His presence is undeniable.

Acid test could be in the European games to come. He won us points single handedly in those before pretty much, let's see if he can do it again.

Why do you say that? We clearly need a keeper as Gordon I imagine will be gone next summer given his contract is up and he will be 37 at that point.

His wages, the transfer fee and, despite what many think, there was no option to buy confirmed by either club, so I don't believe there is one.

For those who are in love.....
You can see the opposition fear him much more than Bain or Gordon..

No firing in to him for corners or anything..

Knows how to take the sting out the game. Gordon picks it up immediately when there's no need and plays it out. Forster takes his time and does what most keeper's do when you're in front......takes it a wee stroll and picks it up when the opposition striker has finally decided to chase it down..

Forget the notion of a permanent, we could easily get another seasons loan tho.

Maybe, but likely not before the end of the English transfer window, as they will be looking to sell, so we are looking at the qualifiers having already started by the time that would happen. Which is not ideal.

Would the fee be that high? They don't want him there. Wages may not be an issue if he is happy to take a cut. Some players are as he is already wealthy. Southampton I'm sure would want him off our wage bill.

Think the best gauge of a goalkeeper is your nerves when the balls about the box. I personally feel far more confident and assured with Forster which much mean his team mates feel the same.

Over the moon he’s back personally. An experienced presence and a clean sheet machine.

True. Two years left on his deal next summer and he’ll be 32 at that point, so I don’t think they’ll get a particularly big fee from anyone for their third-choice keeper. The wages are the issue, got to think something creative could be done.

I don't think they are going to let him go for a pittance if he gets his form back. Why would they, he is an English international keeper, if he regains his form they will probably be looking to make their money back on him. And in the current market down there they more than likely can do that.

Really feels good to have the big man back, feel a lot more confident going into games now, especially now that we have good options in defence, think we could get a few decent results in the Europa tbh.

Fraser Forster insists no-one should ever doubt the quality of Neil Lennon.

The Geordie is adamant the club has the perfect gaffer to get the best out of his Celtic troops and take them forward in their quest to maintain their domestic dominance and have a run in Europe.

Lennon has been placed under the microscope since returning to replace Brendan Rodgers in February.

However, with a Treble Treble sealed and victory over Rangers at Ibrox last weekend cementing an impressive beginning to this campaign, Forster says he’s the No.1 man for the job.

The Champions League exit was a disappointment, but the rest has been almost flawless and the keeper said: “He’s just such a good man-manager.

"He installs that belief in us as players. He reaffirms how much he believes in us.

“He just gets the best out of the players. We’ve got a good squad and that’s what it’s about. Getting the best out of everyone as an individual and then collectively as a team.

For me, he was brilliant the first time and he’s brilliant for me the second time.

“We had a fantastic record here. You can’t really argue with his record as manager when he was here. Brendan was fantastic as well, but he’s a top manager.”

Aye been thinking the same, I remember Lennons first europa groups as a manager and we played some great fitba.A solid defence behind goals from everyone up front, could be an interesting season.

aye... and a near master class it was by Lenny and the team.

Just another one of the worlds best teams that came to celtic park and got sent home way zero points.
