We punted the ball straight down towards their corner flag and kept them penned in their own half from the get go, it actually worked and we got off on the front foot.

A great way to start , I always hate taking kick off and playing ball back sets the wrong tone for the game . Calmacs tackle also set the tone * magic .

Great way to start. Showed from the outset we were taking a more direct approach and killed their attempt at pressing us from the kickoff.

Physiologically * them instantly. They looked confused, wanting to spring forward but the balls already nearly in the box. So had to try organise a defence. Was clever.

It was just a show of intent. A good way to start the game as although you’re giving up possession, you’re giving yourself the opportunity to press them deep in their own half from the get go.

So, it was more to do with psychology than anything else.

We slaughtered Hearts for doing it against us. No problem with it personally and it worked a treat.

We're actually a good ball-playing, short-passing team, though. We're the wrong team to try that against.

I thought it was a great move. As Lennon said there's more than one way to skin a cat and there's more than one way to play football - that's one of the things that makes it great. I hate when people say 'they play football the right way' - J Collins was bad for it. The only right way to play football is the way that gets you more goals than the other team.

It was a masterstroke by Lennon. Right from kick off we were in their faces and pressed them high in their half due to this play. It set the tone for the entire match. Might seem like a small detail but enormous credit is due to Lennon for doing it. Compare it to last game there where we messed about in our own half and let them press us, conceded a goal and never recovered from it. All within 5 minutes. Lennon was going to make sure we did the exact opposite and do it to them. They would have expected us to pass it from the back from kick off which would have then allowed them to press us again. I guarantee slippy would have instructed them to press us from kick off. Lennon flipped it right in his face. Was right out of an American football play book that one. Tremendous.
