Killie have the upper hand due to the time left in the window. They know we're desperate, if we bid for him earlier we'd probably get him cheaper.

Aye it seems we'll be back in for him without doubt..

I forgot about Perraud but that value and quality for money is exactly what I'm talking about..

The only way that deal looked unlikely is if KT was staying....which was never happening..

Utterly bizzare that we decided to leave it..

I think that Turnbull has shown much more ability and so im not sure it can be justified that Taylor would be worth as much or more. They are using our situation against us.

I'm kinda being contradictory as I've said before that he's actually pretty decent but Turnbull has definitely shown more..

19 and already had us and championship, EPL side's sniffing about. No one will bid 3 mill for Taylor and so you're absolutely right our terrible handling of these window's is being used against us..

Taylor would be a pretty safe solid signing domestically at least. Much rather Meling at this point though..

It was exactly how the Scheidt spectacle happened. He got one call up for Brazil under very weird and special circumstances and then nevermore. Unlike, say, Turnbull, he didnt get much attention and praise around before that. I really wonder how different people's opinions on him would be without that cap. We are accused of frowning upon him just because he plays for Kilmarnock but there are not a pile of arguments in favour either

Don't see why folk have a problem with Taylor coming in. I would feel much more comfortable with him in than Boli Bomb scare.

Ye but they have a left back brought in already and the player himself has strongly indicated he really doesn't wanna be there. Both clubs really want it done.

For me Perraud was THE missed opportunity of the Window (well him AND Gumny :D) - can only think that Lennon gave Boli the nod over him and Celtic would still have been interested but couldn't move on him until the Tierney deal was done and dusted (less about the money and more about the message to Arsenal if we had two new LB's on the books telling them we were definitely counting on him going, weakening bargaining position against low-balling Arsenal).

Not really... bit like our position with Tierney. Arsenal could always have bought someone else and we'd have carried on just fine. Likewise if we leave Taylor there killie won't mind, but they know we need someone so if they ask too much we'll go elsewhere, even if the player isn't better... we don't have the precedent of just splurging when we need someone, it's far more likely we'll take an EPL loan

He’s played every minute for Stade Brest in the league for them so far, they seem to be doing not bad too

They are looking for £2.5m to £3m don’t know where the £7m came from. He has 15 month left on his deal

If things remain as is, Rosenborg wont be in thr CL and so our chances of signing Meling might increase a lot.

Im not sure i have a preference of the two.. id like to think Meling has a better pedigree but with 100 odd league appearances at 21, Taylor shouldnt be overlooked so idn..

Obviously we are waiting for meling to become available whether that is to barter the price against Taylor and push the price down with the 2 being happy to come, or he is the preferred choice .
The risk is we fail to land any ,I still feel there is a chance some other club could tempt meling if we pussyfoot,I dont mind either or arriving ,but killie could also stick to their guns like we done with kt.

After tonight there won't be a single fan that would have Taylor over Meling..
