Well aye it does mean a lot when you’re saying he’s finished yet he’s doing better at his job, keeping the ball out the net.

Where was Henrik in Feyenoord’s plans? Where was Lubo in Duisburg’s? There’s far more to signings than where they are with the team they are.

    Hes barely played tbf.

So we cant exactly rely on any stats either way. 1 EPL appearance last season. 3 in the reserve league.

All I know is last time I seen him he was dug but he still is only 31. Out of most of the keepers we would likely be linked with I'd take him now probably.

Last time I saw him play he took so long to get down to shots. I think he’s done but hopefully Stevie Woods could get him back to his best

Is he better than what we have? 100% yes.

    Bring him home.

As far as Ibe then it’s a * no, don’t bring him near us.

Vorm was always very good with the ball at his feet, exactly why we were constantly linked under rodgers.

Let's get Stokes, Hooper, and Ledley back while we're at it!

You’ve got to look at the 2 goalkeepers in front of him though.

Alex McCarthy is excellent, and had the best spell of his career around that time.

Then he went through a tricky period(similar to Forster before him) - so they brought in Angus Gunn, who cost a fortune, is also very highly rated, and had a buy-back clause inserted by Man City when they sold him.

I think McCarthy is the best of the 3, but I’d be delighted to get Forster back.

Him and Boruc are the only 2 keepers that I’ve seen where I’ve felt we had a real presence.

His performance against Barcelona is the best I’ve ever seen. Supposedly he got on very well with Stevie Woods, and 31 for a keeper is like buying a 25 year old outfield player.

Ten years ago a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum-security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem... if no one else can help... and if you can find them... maybe you can hire... The Auld Team.

Honestly think Forster would have have us a better performance than Bain against cluj.

Forster was a very good keeper and I'd happily take him back. He could be a bargain in the waiting right now!

    We aren't signing Forster.

Honestly cannot wait for the transfer window to close just to end these * stupid rumours.

Every single one of us would, but getting the Great Wall back and resigning Forster aren't necessarily the same thing. That's why people are cagey...

Fact is, none of us knows if he's done, done or just out of sort, done due to lack of games and opportunities. It'd be a gamble to bring him in. But, a loan with a reasonable option to buy might work for all sides.

Not going to happen though, as Gordon will now be our main keeper for the year

    Didn’t say he’s finished.

He’s not the same ‘keeper he was when he left us. Can argue about it all you want, but it won’t change that fact.

The minimal effort recruiting policy at work again. Not cheap, not effective, just lazy.

It could even work, but it would be by accident. Same way we got Bain. It is scary that they dont know the name of a single goalkeeper and when some sort of injury or accident happens, they just go for whoever is nearest. It is either this, or doing nothing at all
